If there is such a thing as a “sex dysphoria”, which really is just a body dysmorphia, then the last place man who has it would want to be is in a women’s change room. The difference in his body to women’s bodies would be, by sheer definition of the condition, extremely distressing.
Yet men who claim to be women on the basis of a “dysphoria” want nothing more than to be in the women’s change room & are delighted by it. They’re even unbothered by the distress their presence causes women, and flaunt their maleness.
This can only be because they are not experiencing any kind of dysphoria/dysmorphia. Instead, they have a sexual fetish, including voyeurism, and their own behavior proves it.
Once a man tells the lie that he is a woman, don’t expect the truth about anything else.

Last Thursday on @RTENewsAtOne broadcaster @EnglishRachel presented a very selective account of the banned (in UK and US) group Palestine Action.
In a soft, luvvie-type interview with a contemptuous Colm Toibin listeners were not told that Palestine Action member Samuel Corner is serving 7 years in jail for hitting policewoman Sgt Kate Evans twice on the spine with a lump hammer as she lay helpless on the ground. Yet Rachel English described Palestine Action as “a protest group”.
RTE @rtenews @kevinbakhurst always seem to give leftist thugs & groups an easy ride.

You are totally ignorant. I am a novelist and as a supporter of Jews, Israel, women and gay people (ie a Terf) I can tell you that these are what is difficult, lonely and professionally dangerous - not what Sally Rooney has done.
With her lonely stand for Palestine, Sally Rooney has exposed the contemporary literary world as a nest of cowards and careerists
Where are all the Doris Lessings, Harold Pinters, John Bergers, Graham Greenes, Samuel Becketts that once raised their voices against war and injustice?
Rooney stands almost alone

The media went into a frenzy over Israel passing a law that allows for the death penalty of Hamas terrorists who invaded Israel on October 7th.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia is set to execute a man and woman for holding hands in public.
The media hasn’t said a word. Weird.

If you read one thing this evening, let it be this speech from Maurice Cohen, President of the Jewish Representative Council of Ireland about the Herbert Park Hotel. He poignantly describes how this hotel - once associated with friendship, celebration and his mother - has now, rather tragically, acquired a very different place in his memory.
‘…contemporary antisemitism does not always arrive wearing the language of the past. It does not always announce itself with a slur, a threat or a placard. Increasingly, it can present itself as a question, a precaution, a policy, a request for clarification. It begins by treating Jewish identity as evidence of political allegiance. It turns Jewish people into representatives of a foreign state, Jewish gatherings into security concerns, and ordinary acts of welcome into decisions requiring special permission. That is the danger of antisemitism today: not only that it excludes Jews, but that it makes their exclusion appear reasonable.’
‘Seventy rooms had been booked. Seventy people had been welcomed as guests. The only thing that changed was what they were understood to be. That is not a minor administrative inconvenience. It is a warning. Antisemitism survives by changing its vocabulary while preserving its logic: Jews are treated as different, suspect and collectively responsible. The words may be new, but the message is old. You may enter as an individual, but once you are recognised as Jewish, the terms of welcome can change. And that is why we still have a long way to go in Ireland, the land of 100,000 thousand welcomes: because the test of a society is not whether it welcomes people before it knows who they are. The test is whether it continues to welcome them after it does. Yes, a long way to go in Ireland and The Herbert Park Hotel.’
Shame on Herbert Park Hotel. And shame on Ireland for enabling and cultivating this culture of antisemitic exclusion.

These are people who have been appointed by their governments to fight antisemitism. Now that too is toxic.
The Herbert Park Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin cancelled a booking for 70 rooms upon learning the booking of the rooms was for a group of people from 27 EU states attending a conference in Dublin this week on antisemitism associated with Ireland’s EU presidency. A vile illustration of the issue to be addressed.

No comment on Gaza itself but I’m pretty sure that if someone of high prestige on the left declared that ok yeah it’s not really about Palestine I just hate the jews and its ok to hate the jews, millions of people would go along with it.
That’s what we learned from the trans insanity. The issue is not the issue (for the vast majority of people).
The issue is secondary to being seen to have the same opinion as the people you hold in high esteem. Were one drunk Hasan Piker tweet away from pogroms. I saw it in the European Parliament yesterday. Gender critical women and Christians were called a “contamination” by the good-thinking people of the NGOcracy, and everyone in the room nodded enthusiastically. I know loads of people who have been fired for speaking at work about the importance of telling the truth about sex, but nobody stands up for us because they didn’t want to risk their own social standing.
People will go along with anything at all as long as they think it puts them in the “camp of good”.

The Navi #Pillay story won’t stop growing. Now it’s Cuba.
In 2008, Cuba chaired the Non-Aligned Movement, a bloc of about 120 mostly developing countries, and Havana put her forward for the job of UN human rights chief. Then UN Watch looked at her first two years in that job and couldn’t find a single statement from her about how the Castro regime treats its own people.
It gets worse. In March 2010, the Cuban political prisoner Orlando Zapata Tamayo died after 85 days on a hunger strike, and governments everywhere were condemning Havana. That same month Pillay was photographed in Geneva, smiling next to Cuba’s foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez. Defending prisoners like Zapata was her job, and she spent that moment posing with the people who had locked him up.
In 2019, she went to Havana as head of an international commission against the death penalty, thanked the regime for its hospitality, and talked about how open it was to ending executions. In 2022, Cuba passed a new penal code that went in the opposite direction, raising the number of capital crimes from 20 to 24.
China, Cuba, Iran: each time she had to pick a side, she picked the regime over its victims. Israel, she never spared. And this is the woman Oslo has decided deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog, commenting on Nobel Peace Prize laureate Navi Pillay:
“We face many enemies, haters, and those who seek to defame us. In this context, I would like to add that awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay, one of the most prominent proponents of the false claim that genocide has been committed, for what is described as her ‘efforts to promote peace and international law,’ is a cynical decision by the Nobel Committee. It glorifies a shameful manifestation of moral decay and constitutes an insult to every person who cherishes life and strives for peace, particularly the victims and survivors of the October 7 massacre.”

There are times when I ask myself whether I’m being a bit too hard on my employer when I accuse it of grotesque breaches of impartiality.
And then I hear interviews like this.
It’s absolutely staggering that Karen Dalziel, the senior BBC editor responsible for Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, can talk about the very definition of a woman as though it’s some endlessly shifting, contested concept.
During an interview with Ros Atkins (who actually does his job properly), marking 80 years of Woman’s Hour, Dalziel is asked about the Supreme Court ruling which established that the words woman and sex in the Equality Act refer to biological sex.
Her response is revealing. She talks about the story moving, about how a legal judgment that settles something at one point is, for many people, merely a beginning. She even invokes the history of women getting the vote, as though the biological definition of a woman is another chapter in some great unfolding struggle for equality.
Think about the offensive absurdity of this.
For most of the 80 years that Woman’s Hour has been broadcasting, the meaning of the word woman was perfectly well understood. Yet here we are, celebrating that anniversary, with the programme’s own editor apparently treating that biological reality as something endlessly open to reinterpretation, rather than a fact that should underpin the programme’s coverage.
Giving equal weight to the proposition that any man who declares himself a woman thereby becomes one is not a neutral, impartial position. It’s an ideological one.
Dalziel isn’t finished though, and keeps digging. She suggests Woman’s Hour listeners are too old to “understand the terminology”. Presumably, these daft old bats are holding onto the quaint, hopelessly unfashionable idea that a woman isn’t a costume or a feeling but a biological reality. If only their befuddled brains could catch up with the enlightened metropolitan consensus!
It absolutely enrages me listening to this.
Because this is how the BBC has been hollowed out from within. By people in influential editorial positions so ideologically captured or cowardly that they can no longer distinguish between impartial journalism and progressive orthodoxies.
The BBC cannot restore its reputation for impartiality while people who mistake ideological conformity for editorial balance occupy senior positions.
Until they’re removed, every last one of them, all the BBC’s grand declarations about impartiality aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.
