The shell trick I reach for constantly: !$ is the last argument of the previous command. mkdir -p deep/new/dir then cd !$ drops you in, no retyping. !! is the whole last line, which is the reason sudo !! works. What tiny shell trick do you lean on?

1/ git stash is fine until you're three deep and can't remember what each one holds. git worktree is the better tool. It checks out a second branch into its own folder, sharing the same repo. Two branches, two directories, zero stashing.

2/ git worktree add ../review pr-branch drops the PR into a separate folder while your current work sits untouched where it is. You switch by changing directory, not by stashing and popping. Each folder keeps its own state and index.

3/ One gotcha: the same branch can't be checked out in two worktrees at once, by design. git worktree remove ../review cleans up when you're done. It shares .git, so it's cheap, not a second clone re-downloading the whole history.

If you write Python and still call pip directly, look at uv. One Rust binary that replaces pip, venv, and pip-tools. It resolves and installs in seconds and caches hard, so the second run is basically instant. Apache-2.0 / MIT. Rare case of just faster, no catch.

Things are cooking up over at Bodega One! New project will come to light soon.

Bodega One Code truly is the most BYO(bring your own) app of its kind. True agnostic app. Should we make it open source?
Stay tuned for the next update, soon you can bring in any Harness into Bodega one Code, Setup your main & sub-agents with their own Harness/Provider/Model, and agents will always retain full context.

Hot take: A single agent that can supposedly do everything is not a good agent.

A cloud model can now hand the boring subtasks to a local one. Pay for the thinking, run the grunt work free on your own GPU. Shipped sub-agents in the beta this week. Delegation as a BYOLLM cost lever.

It asked before it opened a browser. Everything on this screen is Bodega One running locally — a 27B model writing code, showing the diff, waiting for permission. No cloud, no API key, no data leaving the desk.

1,075 people have installed a local-first AI IDE that never sends their code to a server. Free download. Bring your own model. Runs on your machine, offline if you want. Windows, Mac, and Linux all showed up. Thank you for trusting something this early.

Sneak peek: that is Bodega One HQ running inside a real iPhone frame, at the actual device viewport. The frame is Bodega One Code's new phone preview, shipped today in beta.38. One of my apps, previewed inside the other.

Beta counter: 1,632 real installs. Windows 50%, Mac 26%, Linux 24%. That Linux share keeps beating what I expect from a desktop dev tool. Last release leaned hard into security and stability. Still free for everyone.

Lets take bets on how many times @ClaudeDevs are going to extend the 50% extra usage. I believe its been 2 times already maybe 3.
