Captain Traore deconstructing religion and its role in Africa’s colonialism by the West.
When will this war between Yahweh and Allah come to an end?
It’s heartbreaking that innocent people who were colonized and indoctrinated are being killed over something their ancestors knew nothing about.

Have you ever asked yourself why Yorùbá men lie flat and women kneel when they greet elders, parents, kings, and chiefs?
In Ifá, there is a link worth exploring:
“Òtúrá Gàngàn, Ìwòrì náà Gàngàn; Ìkúnlẹ̀ obìnrin ni Gàngàn ni Gàngàn, ìdọ̀bálẹ̀ ọkùnrin ni wòó wòó.”
This verse, addresses the customary difference between the bodily gestures women and men use to greet.
Ifá is more than divination; it also serves as a storehouse of Yorùbá wisdom, philosophy, and oral knowledge.
Our greetings, our respect for elders, and our traditional values are worth studying through this knowledge.
Nobody can tell us or make us to trash your culture, customs and traditions.
The only place I know of where Ifá mentions Olugbo is in Ọ̀wọ́nrín Olugbo Asunlola, “Ọmọ Afi Araba Owó rẹ Ọmọ…”. Meanwhile, the names Olofin, Elu and the Ooni appear repeatedly throughout the 256 Odù Ifá.
Yes, the Ọ̀ṣàngangan Obamakin dynasty is among the ancient dynasties of Ilé-Ifẹ̀, and that is the lineage I come from. I proudly acknowledge my ancestral roots and the history attached to them.
However, when we speak of the supreme royal stool of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ and the sacred place of the Ooni within Yoruba traditional kingship, Kabiyesi Ọọ̀ni Ògúnwùsì, Òjájá II, occupies that throne.
Our ancestral lineages deserve recognition, but we must also understand the distinction between ancestral heritage, historical dynasties and the institution of the Ooni of Ifẹ̀.
Àṣẹ! Ilé-Ifẹ̀ ni orírun àti ìpilẹ̀ ìtàn Yorùbá.
