I believe the saying goes “make hay while the sun shines” and I guess sometimes that happens even when the ground is to wet. #cowchow #chop2024

Idk if everyone heard, but it’s 4:44… and SDSU is the champion

It’s 12:48… and NDSU still sucks #GoJacks #FCSChampionship

Grain cart driver snagged a picture of my son and I finishing up a field the other night. Gotta love the South Dakota sunset. #Harvest22 #JohnDeere

One final sunset for #chop22. If all goes well we will be done by morning with no rain delays. #cowchow

Beautiful morning to be chopping some @NKSeeds 9991 with @pivotbio this morning for Riverview Dairy.

It got busy around here last week and we finally got some @NKSeeds delivered to customers. I’m glad we finally got a semi, and it’s a bonus that it looks this good. #Plant22

My tractor cab got a little full this morning thanks to some rain. We made the best of it by practicing our numbers and colors off of ear tags. #calving #cattle

It may be raining and snowing outside but we can still sort customer orders of corn and Proven 40 inside to get ready for #plant22. @pivotbio

Beautiful morning to be chopping silage for @RiverviewLLP at the Garfield dairy #cowchow #harvest21

Back to back Pete’s on a muddy Monday morning #chop21 #harvest21

Can’t buy a rain all summer until it’s silage season, then it won’t quit. #chop21 #harvest21

Chopping at night is one of my favorite times of the year. #silage21 #Harvest2021

First plot comes out today. 7 silage varieties, 4 brands, 280ac. Gonna be a long day with some really great data. Thanks to Vankooten Ag Service for chopping and putting up with us for today. #harvest21 #plots

Farmer called this evening with cows out in his corn and needed eyes in the sky to get them out. Found the lost ones and chased them out with the Phantom 3 and took NDVI imagery with the Matrice to measure stand loss. Technology is so cool! #farmlife

Walking our Midstate plots today I realized I may have gone a little overboard this year. 66 varieties 11 different brands 300+ acres Should have some good yield data come fall. #plottour #farming #harvest21

Making Hay in the morning and scouting fields in the evening. Long days are worth it when they look this good. #cowchow #agronomy

Some day I will learn that it’s easier to fill with fuel before going to the field instead of running back for fuel because I don’t have enough to finish. #plant21

Happy Mother’s Day to my wife. We got to do one of her favorite things today... fencing pasture through a slough.

Making Bacon this morning, 2 loads of @SmithfieldFoods pork coming to a store near you.
