The Department of Justice @DOJCD_ZA were briefed the day before that we are coming, they were well aware, yet made it difficult for us to come and hand the petition over.And also called the police on us peaceful protestors. Lo and behold the police came very quickly. This is the kind of attitude the government has towards the crisis of GBVF. While the police are quick at protecting the governments interests but not when it comes to citizens. These are things that @BuildOneSA will change once elected.

PETITION OFFICIALLY HANDED OVER
We have officially handed over @BuildOneSA’s petition to the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, demanding speedy public access to the National Register of Sexual Offenders (NRSO).
The petition was formally accepted by representatives of the Department, marking an important step in our call for greater transparency and accountability to protect women and children.
We will continue to demand action to ensure that the public has access to information that can help keep our communities safe.
The fight for justice and the safety of women and children must continue.
