Last night during the Munich drone fiasco, several people noticed an extremely concerning release of radiation that appeared to be flowing in the same direction that the wind was blowing. The readings were higher than Chernobyl. (2000 is safe) readings were showing 15000, quote: "Looking at the wind, there might be a release of something from a location about 100 km west of Berlin, but the highest readings are near the coast, around Heiligenhafen and Wismar."
Different websites were displaying the same readings. People were sharing their deep concern across the web. Suddenly someone popped up in the comments on a Reddit thread and said it was merely an internal exercise and what was being shown was a simulation:
"I am one of the officers on duty from the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection, BfS. We are the operators of the German radiation monitoring network.
We are currently conducting an internal exercise. This data is simulated data that was supposed to stay internal, rather than being published to the Eurdep platform. (where windy pulls the data).
We are working on fixing the issue. The data you see now is entirely fictitious."
BfS official LinkedIn Account was later updated stating the same.
