And now for a proper Happy OpTic Day post. This will be very long but I hope that if you read, you enjoy my story In December is 2009 I got my first Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 and was instantly addicted. I started watching OpTic in January of 2010 after a few friends at work told me about quick scoping. After some YouTube searches and watching videos I quickly discovered OpTic and Machinima, watching @H3CZ @hutchinson @M40A3Predator @Apostle_og @MiDNiTEMN @XBLzzirGrizz and my favorite of all time, @DTreats Over the years and trying to create my own montages or recreate certain shots like the legendary C4 shot, I started getting more competitive. MW3 featured the first ever CoD Champs with CoD XP in 2011 which I watched and saw @Nadeshot @OpTic_BigTymeR @JoeDeLuca and Vengeance win $400,000. I watched the Friday Night Fights matched on the old CoD app and that’s where I learned about @Fwiz and @hastr0 and then in December of 2012 I watched the very first BO2 tournament, UMG Chicago which OpTic won with an, at the time legendary Hardpoint comeback on Hijacked. It was at that moment I fell in love with Call of Duty Esports. I watched every tournament from that until probably somewhere in BO4 when life started getting busier. I remember watching them start the first OpTic House, Hunting OpTic with @Syndicate moving to the Scuf House, and so much more. I remember watching @TheSTiKSLive with @Kingdom_Soldier @hitchariide and @SmitingBK when it launched and thinking it was so cool! I attended my very first event in June of 2013 (MLG Anaheim) when @Kolbsterrrr invited me to join him for his graduation present and that’s where my love for events started. Unfortunately I wouldn’t return to another one until MLG Anaheim 2019. Since then I’ve attended CoD Champs 2019, CDL Champs 2021, OpTic Texas Major 2022, and CDL Champs 2022. Each of these events holds special memories and a special place in my heart. Anaheim 2013 is my first event ever and the first time I met @H3CZ and @scump as well as many other including @Nadeshot @OfficialShadows @Rated @ijustine and even @DavidVonderhaar Anaheim 2019 returning to that iconic venue and vlogging it with a gimbal and iPhone 7 Plus. That weekend I became the guy with the goofy vlog setup 🤣 I met @TheMob @Class @Mako @lanche @Froste @LoganDodson @Pamaj @BoZe @momOFscump @Crimsix @DashySZN Champs 2019 was the first event I took my best friend @tvalles00 too and we ran MW19 early access all weekend, made great memories and met people like @CouRageJD @WorldsBedford @hitchariide @JorgeNotGeorge7 and @blakecissel Champs 2021 was my first time interviewing people for my podcast and meeting @nametheischris The OpTic Texas Major was my first time leaving California for an event and where I interviewed my childhood hero in Hecz for my podcast (thank you @PaigeJReed for setting it up and @nametheischris for the pictures) This is still my favorite memory and something 13 year old me still thanks 25 year old me for doing. @OpTic inspired me to try to compete, play Gamebattles, create content and YouTube videos, stream, start a podcast, and go to events and meet some incredible people. I’ve made friendships with so many people over the years including @OpTic_CollecTor @ElijahCastrro @DaBOOZER1 @TheVietAH some of my fondest memories are tied to this incredible organization and I’ll always bleed green. Together we stand. Together we fall. Together we are the Green Wall. #HappyOpTicDay #OpTicGaming #OpTic #GreenWall #BrickByBrick
