“I saw hacksaws, chainsaws, axes, and machetes there. Everything was covered in blood.” Ukrainian military medic Yuriy Armash describes the terror inside Russian torture chambers. Ukrainian military medic Yuriy Armash spent more than a year in Russian captivity. Among other places, he was held in one of the most notorious torture facilities in the Kherson region, established by Russian occupiers inside a seized police station in Nova Kakhovka. There, he learned the stories of many people and witnessed how the Russians’ system of terror against local civilians operated. How Russians torture prisoners “The interrogations began on the very first day. They were conducted by the same FSB officers. During interrogations, they covered my face and handcuffed my hands behind my back. They asked where the weapons were, how many people were in our reconnaissance group, where our positions were, where we had come from, and what our mission was. They used an awl. They would pull the skin on my neck, pierce it, and leave the awl hanging there so I could feel it. Because I wasn’t telling them what they wanted to hear, since I couldn’t tell them something that didn’t exist, they started using a knife. They stabbed me in the leg. They would take a knife and press it into my upper leg until they felt the blade reach the bone. When the Russians realized they weren’t going to get an answer, they used a ‘Tapik,’ a military field telephone. They attached its wires to my ears and kept turning the crank, sending electric shocks through my body until I started screaming.” How Russian occupiers abused civilians “Starting April 20, they began taking me out to provide medical assistance to civilians who had been severely beaten by the Russians. I remember treating a woman who was about 40 years old in one of the two punishment cells in the basement. I bandaged her head because she had been beaten with a rubber baton. There were all kinds of injuries. They broke people’s legs. Men under the age of 35–40 were treated particularly brutally.” A room filled with blood-covered torture instruments “I never expected the level of brutality I witnessed after February 24. Although I had seen many things before that, I was honestly shocked. At the Nova Kakhovka police station, I entered rooms where I saw things that absolutely terrified me. I saw hacksaws, chainsaws, axes, and machetes. Everything was covered in blood. The room with the blood-covered torture instruments was on the second floor of the police station, in the left wing. It was just an ordinary office. But there were also more secret rooms in the building where they never even took me. At the police station, the occupiers also forcibly removed tattoos they didn’t like from the bodies of detained civilians. Some had their tattoos cut out with knives. Others had them burned off with potassium permanganate. Russian occupiers raped even children “When Buryats and Kalmyks were stationed at the police department, they frequently entered the cells of young women under the age of 25–30. They even sorted the women by age and placed them in separate cells. From time to time, women were taken out of their cells and brought to another wing. The young women were taken there at night and raped. When the Russians’ rotation was coming to an end, they sometimes entered the cells and raped the women right there. My cell was nearby. I could hear everything clearly… The worst case involved a 14-year-old girl whom the Russians were holding captive. She tried very hard to hide the fact that she had been raped. One day, when we were taken outside for a walk, I noticed that she was bleeding. I asked her what had happened. She didn’t want to answer. I asked, ‘Did Russian soldiers do this to you?’ She silently lowered her head. I assured her that no one except me would ever know about it. After that, she answered: ‘Yes.’”

Russia has killed 762 kids in Ukraine. These are documented cases. The real number is much higher.

Given all the killing and destruction, I'm guessing that Ukrainians hate them more....

The British are probably the most russophobic people in the world. They just hate Russia. Simple as that.

This could be any queue, anywhere in the world. More lies and propaganda from Putin's apologists trying to hide the murder and destruction carried out by the Kremlin on a daily basis.
IT'S HAPPENING: Ukrianians are desperately fleeing the Zelenskyy regime. Its out of control

That's the only way Putin will come to the negotiating table. Well done 🇺🇦
🚨A complete disaster is going down in St. Petersburg Russia - Ukrainian drones are overwhelming Putin's air defense forces. The major oil port in the city has exploded, and a major data center is being reported as struck. THIS IS WILD!

BREAKING NEWS: Billionaire Sir Richard Branson launches a SCATHING attack on Trump and his disgusting coziness with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This is EXACTLY the kind of thing that gets under Trump’s skin... "I never thought I’d have to say this in my lifetime, but it’s 2026, and unfortunately, nothing is the way it used to be," wrote Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, on LinkedIn. "The Trump administration has become an enabler of autocrats and dictators, placing their personal whims ahead of the interests of the American people and the free world. What is it about Putin that makes President Trump fawn over him?" "How can America’s allies ever trust this administration again, when it is now turning against them in a time of war and suffering?" he asked. Trump has repeatedly betrayed our Ukrainian allies in recent days. First, he announced a shocking deal with Putin to allow millions of barrels of diesel onto global markets—a move that will inject cash directly into the Russian war machine. Then, he launched a concerted smear campaign against President Zelenskyy, claiming that Putin is "easier to deal with." The betrayals escalated when Washington failed to provide its customary early warning to Kyiv regarding an imminent Russian ballistic missile attack. Now, it appears the White House has ordered a temporary suspension of Starshield—a military version of Elon Musk’s Starlink, upon which the Ukrainian armed forces rely. "The throttling of Starlink/Starshield and the inexplicable failure to provide advance warning of Russian missile launches have already led to the needless deaths of Ukrainian civilians," Branson wrote. "How much worse can it get?" "If one thing is clear, it’s that European leaders must move past the initial shock of Trump’s recent actions and step up. This is as much about European freedom as it is about Ukraine’s sovereignty. Both are worth fighting for," he continued. "Every option should now be on the table—from transferring frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, to delivering advanced weapons systems like the German Taurus." "Why, oh why, is this happening? We cannot allow the free world to be dismantled before our very eyes," Branson concluded. We couldn’t agree more. Trump is an enemy of Ukraine, an enemy of democracy, and an enemy of the American people. When the Democrats regain power, we will have a major task ahead of us. Every trace of this monstrous man’s legacy must be erased. Please ❤️ and share if you think Trump is Putin’s puppet!

We don't talk enough about extraction economies.
Isn’t it sad that it has to take an Englishman like George Monbiot to point out to a supposed ‘Welshman’ like Reform’s James Evans about the injustices Wales has endured over the centuries and how we continue to be shafted by continous Westminster governments?

It's called pragmatism. Besides, the far right would have had a field day had Plaid Cymru members staged some sort of a theatrical process. But today their guns are largely silent.
Just watched the King opening the @SeneddCymru slightly surprised that a number of @Plaid_Cymru MSs who in the past have been very critical of the Monarchy are there today in the formal line up. How do these MSs behave in such a contradictory way.

Surely these sorts of issues should be decided before the match starts? So you have the main penalty taker followed by the 2nd and 3rd choices.
The penalty ‘ incident ‘ . It should have been managed far better. Left a sour taste, but after the groans and frustrations they both shook hands. A minor hiccup that BBM will deal with I’m sure.

And what about Putin? Could he end all the suffering and loss of life too? It's worth remembering that most of the drones and bombs being launched are coming from the Kremlin.
Zelensky could end all of the suffering and loss of life today. All he has to do is surrender today. It all ends when he surrenders.

And any message for Putin with regards to ending the war?
I am sick hearing about Ukraine and the criminal Zelensky Talk talk talk, bloody talk is all everyone does about ending the war. President Trump, you too. Stop talking and just stop bloody end all support for that coke criminal and it all ends. Peace with Russia, we all win..

He would do well to remember that many Ukrainian families, who are currently being attacked every night by the Kremlin, provided lots of support to our miners during the 1984 strike.
🚨Statement by Arthur Scargill. 🔴Andy Burnham could be a force for peace. I anticipated that UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham would change the policy of his predecessor, Keir Starmer, and stop supporting the NATO-provoked war in Ukraine. There’s a clear economic reason: since 2022, the UK has spent at least £35 billion on Ukraine, far more than the cost of The Triple Lock – now under threat – which protects pensioners’ incomes. Equally important is the historic fact that in 2014 a democratically elected President of Ukraine was deposed in a coup d’etat (backed by Western powers). Since then Ukraine’s successive governments have been controlled by heirs of the same forces that fought alongside the Nazis against the Soviet Union in the Second World War. NATO wanted the civil war that began in 2014. That civil war, started by the Kyiv regime against Ukraine’s eastern provinces provoked the Russian response that began in 2022. The Ukraine/Russia war has nothing to do with the safety or welfare of the UK or any other NATO member nation, yet our country together with the European Union and NATO is doing everything to keep it going. I admit I was encouraged by some of Andy Burnham’s campaign pledges earlier this year, but continuing our country’s involvement in this dreadful conflict renders those pledges useless. I don’t know if he does consider himself a Socialist. If he did, he would give a lead to other Western nations: stop providing funds and equipment for further slaughter, insist on peace negotiations now, and pull the UK out of this ultimately futile support for NATO’s war in Ukraine. Arthur Scargill 11th October, 2026. President National Union of Mineworkers. 1982-2002.
