โItโs a soft target, isnโt it? If you close libraries, nobody dies โ thatโs what they think. But whatโs happening is itโs society who suffers and people who suffer.โ Says Michael Rosen theguardian.com/books/articlโฆ

We donโt want financial donations, we donโt want alternative funding streams, we donโt want charity and we donโt want volunteers doing work that should be done by Library Workers.
Libraries are a statutory service and should be properly funded.

โWhy is it so few new trade deals have been done? Why has there not been the promised bonfire of regulations? The answer is simple. There were no plans. It was a pack of lies.โ

Iโll be saying this a lot over the next six weeks. Vote. I donโt care who you vote for. But vote on 4 July. And make sure you can. For the first time in a General Election everyone will need ID. See bit.ly/3WQiAPa Or apply for a postal vote where ID is not required. Vote

The people who once cheered Priti Patel to the rafters are now denouncing France for refusing to increase the Freedom of Movement of British expats there by extending visas to 180 days rather than 90.
But you know what? France is exercising the same sovereignty as everyone else.

I quite liked the state looking after me. They gave me milk, vaccinations against deadly illnesses, they paid for my education, provided libraries where I could read stuff, and gave me a maintainance grant when I went to uni and paid my fees. This is why I vote Labour!

Yesterday, the PM Sunak donated 6 boxes of mince pies to front line workers.
On the same day, the Mayor of Greater Manchester @AndyBurnhamGM donated 15% of his salary to help tackle homelessness, which he does every month.
Compare and contrast....

Just heard the Home Secretary stand up in Parliament and declare that "the British people support the Rwanda plan".
I'm sick of these guys telling me what I support.
I do not support the "Rwanda plan".
If you don't either, please retweet.

Please retweet in order to debunk the myth that Brexit helped speed up the covid vaccine rollout.
Itโs utter bollocksโฆ and government ministers are still rolling out the lie, even to this day.
Stop the Tory gaslighting!
Rishi Sunak today in Parliament "I look forward to providing my own evidence" to the COVID Inquiry.

If an MP does a second job, why isn't their salary reduced accordingly?
Therefore, if their second job earns them more than ยฃ84k they'll receive ยฃ0 MP salary.
It's what happens to Universal Credit recipients.
