It'd be better if interrogating the powerful was a rotating civic duty like jury service rather than something done by career journalists with a vested interest in maintaining good relationships with the powerful. The obsequious questions at press conferences make this clear.

"Mental illness doesn't discriminate." Yes it does. It discriminates by income. The less you have, the more likely you will suffer from depression, anxiety, substance abuse and other contributing factors to mental illness. To promote mental health, promote economic justice.

Whenever I say members of the US military literally never defend freedom or protect the weak from bad guys I always get brainwashed dupes yelling at me, but it's true. In order to actually do those things, they'd have to be fighting AGAINST the US military.

If you understand this point, you understand how absurd it is to believe the Democratic Party can be redeemed via primaries and activism. The belief that an irredeemable manipulator can be redeemed with a little work benefits only the manipulator. Direct confrontation is needed.

An entire globe-spanning empire depends on keeping a true leftist movement from arising in America, so vast power structures have gone to great lengths building an enormous barrier to prevent that from happening. That barrier's name is the Democratic Party. That is its purpose.
