Linger on this stat for a little while. It's truly a sports miracle.
Since the launch of the 12-team @CFBPlayoff model in 2024, only one team has been projected in the 12-team field in every preseason and final ranking. That team? @IndianaFootball

Only TWO AP top-10 teams have won consecutive overtime games since college football introduced OT in 1996:
2000 Oregon
2026 Indiana
The Hoosiers beat Michigan 13-6 in OT, then survived Minnesota 23-16 in OT.
That's a much rarer feat than simply winning close games.

The Indiana Hoosiers are the only FBS team with five wins against opponents with a record over .500.
Texas, Oregon, and USC are tied for the second most with four wins each.

Favorite moment of the season so far. This program just continues to churn out players who are impossible to not go all-in rooting for. Charlie B is special.

365 days ago, Charlie Becker had 6 receptions for 105 yards and a TD.
Not in a game. FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON.
He had almost as many tackles (5) as receptions.
Now, one year later, this is being written about him:

if i were a michigan fan id probably chill on accusing other teams of cheating for at least a few more years
Cignetti has to be hiding injuries right? I don’t know the specific language but I do know Big Ten teams are required to report their injuries. We all saw Hoover hurt his shoulder in the last game, but he doesn’t even show up as questionable or probable on the injury report? It seems mathematically impossible that they can have a 106 player roster and there’s not a single player dealing with any injuries. Incredibly suspicious.

They played great in the fourth quarter and it was a good challenge for them" ~ Coach Saban

Indiana comes back to win it!
The Hoosiers are the first team to extend a win streak to 20+ games by overcoming a double-digit 4th-quarter deficit since Texas in the 2006 Rose Bowl against USC.

In less than 7 days, this team can silence everybody. The 2025 team had this chance in the B1G championship, this team has the chance in week 7. It’s a home game, no explanation needed, just go 1-0. #BeatOSU

Since 2017, five FBS quarterbacks have had 15+ TD passes and 0 interceptions through five games: Baker Mayfield, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Fields, Darian Mensah and Hoover.
Hoover has thrown a touchdown on 14% of his attempts. Among passers with 100+ attempts through five games in that span, only Kyler Murray, Tagovailoa and Caleb Williams were higher.
Mendoza's start last year ranked 10th on that list.
