Every sympathy for any one who got a penalty notice in error from the County. What a shambles. This letter despite having permits in hand. Why does their system not recognise this?

I was a member of the Care Board and Acting Chair through a tough time around Covid. It is a brilliant compassionate and very effective international development charity. It responds very well to disasters and emergencies. A great role so check it out. careinternational.org.uk/wor…

Children from our local Northway school and their art teachers joined me at Westlands Drive site in Oxford to celebrate their art on the hoardings. Beautiful work. 15 more units of social housing on their way by end of 2027. #OxfordNeedsHomes

Happy to be celebrating first step to creating 24 new homes ( half affordable) with Cllr Linda Smith and the Council and @OXPlace teams and Hills the developers. The site is Goose Green close to the Canalside Quarter. Smart affordable homes - part of Labour’s vision for the city.

Total shambles at Paris nord, some kind of power failure. Eurostar staff arguing with the police who are trying to help. Been waiting for 90 mins to go through passport control. Eurostar - plan, what plan?

This is very good news for Oxford. With thousands of homes at risk of flooding in the city we really need this Flood defence system!
The acquisition of land for Oxford’s new 5km flood relief channel has been signed off. The Environment Agency had applied for a Compulsory Purchase Order for the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme. Construction will start in late 2026.

So-called 'Independent' County Councillors David Henwood (Rose Hill & Littlemore) and Saj Malik (Cowley) have confirmed they have formed an alliance with the Conservative Group at County Hall. This is not what residents voted for on 1 May. Read Cllr Liz Brighouse’s statement 👇

Only voted in as Independents two weeks ago - so much for integrity and the outsider vibe. Now they’ve joined the Tories. Both former Labour City Cllrs, before going Indy. What next go Lib Dems? Go Green? Get a full house? I wonder how their electors feel tonight.

Understand Brookes assessing damage this morning at Headington Hill where road closed. Hopefully they will be able to clear the trees and debris later - trees fell from their land.
