Yesterday evening @stripe held the first community event at @thelabmiami where we spoke about preparing for fundraising for startups.
I was proud to represent some of my clients @frachtisvc and @SuperteamUSA . Thank you @kseniam0s for hosting the event. It was a pleasure to be on stage with @curt_lary and @acoveny . Three main takeaways from our conversation:
1.Treasury discipline starts at close. Forecast 6 to 12 months ahead, reconcile monthly and address variances early. Protect liquidity and avoid unnecessary risk.
2. AI has raised the diligence bar. Funds now screen decks with AI, so weak assumptions surface quickly.
3. Report to investors consistently. A regular update with metrics, spend and runway earns credibility for the next round.
