For connections who don’t know me, Hi I’m Nicky, I’m a warm & compassionate Consultant Clinical Psychologist. I have current availability to treat people over 16 years with all kinds of eating-related difficulties and distress; I am working online and face to face in Brighton.
New year new schema therapy training? Live online schema therapy training with two of the best ISST approved trainers. Module 1 is in May (10th - 12th) and Module 2 is in July (12th - 14th). Helen and Janis are wonderful.
Delegates will receive access to bespoke training videos and save £50 if modules 1 & 2 are booked together. Check out the video for more of a sense of it and get in touch via the website. I hope 2024 has good things in store for you 😊 #schematherapy #schemaschool

It's been a heavy week in eating disorders. So a reminder: sadly not everyone will recover from an ED (yet), but evidence suggests ANYone can.
Early intervention helps, but people can recover after any length of illness.
& while we're not helping everyone, we need to improve.
Schema therapy training: Helen Startup & Janis Briedis are ace. You can take the live online 3 day module one training on 24th - 26th Nov as a standalone intro; or, for accreditation you can add module 2 in March 2024. Check out the flyer below for more details and to book ☺️👌🏻

I’m won’t try to put into words the embodied feelings that came with connecting with friends & colleagues, learning & experiencing at my first in-person training event in 3 years. We learnt about using body methods in schema therapy; I have more than words in my toolkit now ☺️👌🏻
Thanks @will_l_a I only wish we’d been up in Scotland with you all for it! Such a lovely group 😊👌🏻
Looking forward to day 2 of MANTRA training in Scotland @NickyGilbert14 and @jessthegriff @maudsleylearn

The MEED guidelines for #eatingdisorders are becoming more widely used, but so many still don’t know about these VERY helpful summary sheets below 👇🏽 We would also love to hear feedback about the MEED guidelines in your area. Please RT – at Cambridge, England
How have the MEED guidelines helped improve patient safety in your area?
Please share barriers and good practises.
The summary sheets are designed for busy clinicians as a quick reference guide, but they can also be helpful for patients and carers👇🏻

We are often asked about options for training in group MANTRA (Maudsley Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults). Upcoming dates available with the amazing Helen Startup and Mary Franklin-Smith @lightofmind12
I am really looking forward to joining @AnnaOldershaw and Helen Startup for SPEAKS training on the 23rd, 24th and 31st March. There’s still a space or two for any clinicians who it might be relevant for. Please spread the word and hopefully see some of you there 😊👌🏻
There are just a couple of spaces left on our #SPEAKS training at the end of March. We’d love you to join us! #emotion #emotionfocusedtherapy #schematherapy #anorexia #eatingdisorders #therapy #TherapistsConnect
