Guys. I have one point to make. And I want this point to stick in the still beating hearts of people like a dagger. You bitched all last year about how Ukraine had to use maneuver warfare to win, while they were hopelessly charging into minefields and trenches in the south. An area of attack everyone knew was idiotic and pointless. And now, those exact people. Those exact same fucking people. They are complaining that Ukraine breached the Russian defenses in Kursk, got past their rearmost line of defense, and are operating in open fields on roads and highways setting up ambushes and destroying Russian columns. You got the maneuver warfare you wanted. And you complain. You say, no. Put those men in the trenches. Make up your fucking minds.

THIS THIS THIS No government agency will call you asking you to do something involving payment without sending you many letters first.
Interesting narrative of a scam. Anyhow, inform vulnerable people in your life, and yourself, that the government will almost never do anything consequential by telephone.

🚨 Just received a phone call from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office this afternoon. Officer reads off his badge number & proceeds to ask if this is [my name] located at [my address] w/ SSN# [reads last 4 of my social]. Fuck. Was walking through Costco as I took the call.

Casual reminder when arguing with someone and they hit you with "Well I am/was a <insert profession here> so I know more than you..blah blah" there is a 50/50 chance they are lying. If they have a blue checkmark next to their name increase it to an 80% chance.

In case this is it for this hell hole, I just want to say, this is where I met my best friends and where I worked through a lot of trauma and escaped to… I would’ve never met @Nickf4rr nor @heavybuildings who changed my life :) so there’s that. 🫡🫡🫡
We should normalize the practice of Americans living and working overseas for two years between college graduation and the time they start their careers.

Joe Manchin says ending the filibuster will "destroy our government." Meanwhile, McConnell just used the filibuster to kill an independent investigation into an attempted overthrow of the U.S. government.

Fascism thrives on anti-intellectual rhetoric, as does the Republican party.
In retrospect Dems should question what they were doing with these bookshelf Zoom backgrounds the last year. Did they think it would win them working class votes? Also no one thinks of Beto as some huge intellectual, why does he need to be coming live to us from Powell’s?

In the 1930s average rent was $18 a month. If you got paid $0.25 you could pay rent in 72 hours of work. To pay $1000 rent you gotta work 137 hours if you getting paid the federal minimum of $7.25.
In 1938, the first federal minimum wage was established at $0.25 an hour across the country. bit.ly/3wg6lLb

Will someone explain to me how a *currency* that you can't buy any legitimate goods and services with has any inherent value whatsoever. When you buy cryptocurrency, you're providing liquidity and greater profits to money launderers, sex traffickers and arms dealers.

Post-War consensus: "Proportionality should be a guideline in war" Israel: "A Hamas operative once ducked out of that building to smoke a cigarette. Here are the pictures. We sent those civilians a text with a one hour notice. Why are you complaining, you obviously hate Israel."

Tip for older folks in the workforce: Don't pass on the toxic, unsustainable work patterns that were forced on you. Structure your workplace sustainably and equitably so others are aware enough of what's going on to fill in when members of the team need to take care of life.
