Paris is asking Brussels again, and having to ask again says everything. On 20 October, four French MPs filed a new European resolution asking the Commission to map the Muslim Brotherhood network across Europe, trace the EU money that reached groups linked to it, and set a common strategy with a precise timetable, after the National Assembly voted in January to put the movement on the EU terror list. France has lost 275 people in 51 terror attacks since 2012, and its lawmakers now say the threat also hides inside associations, schools, sports clubs and charities. Still no list, still no strategy, still no date. Somebody please send Brussels a calendar. BTW, the Muslim Brotherhood is banned in the UAE.

Did you know? China is one of the top donors to so-called UN human rights experts, providing over $2 million — including to mandates on minority rights and counterterrorism. No credible human rights expert would accept a dime from a regime that oppresses 1.5 billion people.

The man entrusted with Britain's national security is married to a journalist who publicly questioned the testimony of Israeli rape victims, sneered at solidarity with Israel the day after October 7, and told James O'Brien he could "do better" than calling Hamas a "murderous death cult". You'd have expected Sarah Helm to keep her head down while questions swirl about her husband, Jonathan Powell. You'd have expected wrong. On Monday, she waded in to defend the Palestine poppy, days after the Telegraph revealed that its creator, an NHS doctor, had circulated an image comparing Israel to a cancer. Helm is entitled to her opinions, however grotesque. But when your husband is privy to the nation's deepest secrets, they cease to be a family matter. Powell owes the public answers. The Cabinet Office owes us an explanation of what safeguards exist. And he should step down. My latest column (link in first reply) 👇

Dr. Alice Jill Edwards: “The UN had done so little to help them... I felt ashamed. I am still outraged that UN special rapporteurs Francesca Albanese and Reem Alsalem never formally documented these horrors. Instead, both have continued to issue a stream of what I regard as one-sided and vitriolic reports, and hard-to-justify excuses for their lack of attention. That, families and returned hostages have told me, only added to their anguish.”

In Belfast Obama distorts history & the legal purchase of private land from Arabs by Jews. Most Arabs were not expelled by Israelis in 1948 but left when their own people invaded Israel, intending to return when Israel was defeated. By his falsehoods he adds fuel to Jew hate.

Antisemitism is getting worse, not better in the UK. I spoke to The @Jerusalem_Post about my new book, ‘Patriot: Empire, betrayal and hope’ in which I lay out how extremism, Islamism and antisemitism are destroying our country. And how we can fix things. jpost.com/diaspora/antisemit…

Surprise, surprise! The “State of Palestine” has postponed the elections that it promised to carry out to justify British recognition. Egg on the face of Downing Street. Confirmation that the Palestinian leadership is comprised of a load of authoritarian shysters. More reasons for Hamas to celebrate. And what is the British response? A strongly-worded statement, together with those mighty world powers France, Canada and Australia, that has been to frugally reported by the press that you probably wouldn’t even know about it without my Substack. That will have the Palestinians quaking in their boots! There is something almost touching about the naïveté of British diplomacy. A year ago, when Keir Starmer recognised the State of Palestine, he did so despite the fact that Israeli hostages were still being held in Gaza, Palestinian democracy had been suspended for nearly two decades and the institutions of the proposed state remained deeply dysfunctional. Shame upon shame, Hamas sent official congratulations. In return, Mahmoud Abbas – who has a PhD in Holocaust revisionism, continues to pay incentive money to terrorists, uses British-trained security forces to brutally murder his opponents and is enjoying the 21st year of his four-year term in office – assured Downing Street that he was committed to democratic reform. As we have such a soft spot for Palestinians, we took his word for it. Which brings us to the heart of the problem... New post. Link in first reply

Bravo to @USAmbUN for leading an unprecedented coalition to oppose the Durban legacy of hate. Great Americans from Eleanor Roosevelt to Morris Abram helped shape the UN's promise of human dignity. We must not let tyrants and terrorists subvert the world body's founding purpose.
Today, the UN isn’t recognizing Columbus Day. Instead, it’s “celebrating” the 25th anniversary of the 2001 Durban Conference, which evangelized virulent anti-Western, antisemitic ideology as dogma—and which platformed Fidel Castro, Yassir Arafat, and other radical anti-Western ideologues. Last month more than a quarter of the UN’s members joined the U.S. in rejecting Durban's poisonous legacy. Now, the United States is walking out in protest, as we did at the original conference in 2001. For the UN to restore its credibility and realize its potential, it must bury the Durban conference's legacy of grievance politics, antisemitism, Third-Worldism, and hatred for the West.

When the Hamas terrorist organization praises Navi Pillay for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, that tells you everything you need to know about her and the Nobel Committee.

The civilians who participated in 7 October, now recognized by other Gazan civilians, prove that the problem is much bigger than Hamas; it's a radicalism and an ideology of hatred that has penetrated all sectors of Gazan society that needs to be rolled back. Deradicalisation must accompany demilitarisation.

The main lesson I have learned since October 7 is that while Israel will be fine - no matter what its enemies throw at it - it is the UK and other nations in Europe that are in deep, deep trouble.

Today, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for measures to be taken against the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists seeking to infiltrate and undermine our democracies from within. During yesterday's debate, ECPP MEP @hjaruissen urged Europe not to be naive: 🗣 "The Muslim Brotherhood is trying to gain a foothold everywhere, from politics to education. In doing so, they really want only one thing, and that is the Islamisation of Europe, the introduction of Sharia law and, consequently, the end of democracy. Let us take action." #ECPP #BertJanRuissen #MuslimBrotherhood

Thinking today about what happened in Israel on October 7, three years ago. Jews hunted-down, gang-raped, burned alive, beheaded. Babies and elderly alike. For no other reason than they were Jews. I keep being told Israel ‘over-reacted’. By fighting back against a war of extermination it didn’t start? As a Christian, who was formerly based in Jerusalem as a journalist, I always considered myself a friend of Israel. Now, having spent the last three years watching a wickedly contrived attempt to forget what really happened on October 7, and in spite of anything our Green Party says, I’m proud to call myself a Zionist.
