@Musixmatch — the company powering lyrics on Spotify, Apple Music, and Google — found out firsthand. Faced with six-month product cycles and a growing backlog of ideas that never shipped, they turned to Replit.
In roughly two months, they went from concept to a live artist merch tool — with 1,000+ T-shirts already shipped and a brand-new revenue stream to show for it.

“Coding” was never the source of value, and people shouldn’t get overly attached to it. Problem solving is the core skill. The discipline and precision demanded by traditional programming will remain valuable transferable attributes, but they won’t be a barrier to entry.
Many times over the years I have thought about a great programmer I knew that loved assembly language to the point of not wanting to move to C. I have to fight some similar feelings of my own around using existing massive codebases and inefficient languages, but I push through.
I had somewhat resigned myself to the fact that I might be missing out on the “final abstraction”, where you realize that managing people is more powerful than any personal tool. I just don’t like it, and I can live with the limitations that puts on me.
I suspect that I will enjoy managing AIs more, even if they wind up being better programmers than I am.

Excited to announce that @ezrainc has raised $21 million in a round led by Amir Dan Rubin from Healthier Capital. Prior to starting Healthier Capital Amir was CEO of Amazon's One Medical, and is one of the most accomplished healthcare entrepreneurs in the US. The round was co-led by @rick from @FirstMarkCap.
We will be using the new funding to double down on our AI efforts and continue investing in our master plan - offering a 15-minute full body MRI priced at $500. We've recently had a number of AI breakthroughs that give me confidence we will get there within the next 2 to 3 years.
We've also added a number of incredible investors to the cap table - Allianz Life Ventures (venture arm of Allianz Insurance Group), the Schwarzman family, the former Chairman of England’s NHS Lord David Prior, and a number of others (see full list in the blog post in the next tweet).
This year, 10 million people will be diagnosed with late-stage cancer. Our ambition at Ezra is to help all these individuals find cancer early, when it's most curable. It has been 5 years since I started the company, but it still feels like Day 1. Let's go!
