🧵On October 22nd of 2017, I finished my last bartending shift and began my first day as Premier Horgan's EA the very next morning. For the next 4 years I spent nearly every day with John. He loved telling the unlikely story of how I was hired, so I'm going to tell it.

Thanks for nearly 8 years representing Maple Ridge and Mission. We achieved a lot together. I know the future is bright for this region, great city councils, school boards, companies and NPOs.

With John Rustad, conspiracy theories are a feature - not a bug. He was the guest of honour at an anti-vaccine conference. Here’s what he said about it.

This is shocking - @elenoresturko knew about Brent Chapman’s views before she joined his team. In her own words, she called him an extremist and a conspiracy theorist. Is this why she’s been completely silent about his racism and his suggestions that mass shootings aren’t real?

Not supporting rent control in a riding with 59.4% renters is incredibly concerning and should be for Yaletown voters. Yaletown deserves a government that will fight to make housing more affordable and not just let the market decide.

Inclusion BC is disturbed by the @Conservative_BC platform on education. Research in Canada and around the world shows us that all students learn better in inclusive classrooms. (A thread🧵) #BCElxn2024 #InclusiveEducation

We’ve all seen BC Conservative Brent Chapman's racist attacks on Muslims and Indigenous people, and his offensive Holocaust comparison. What hasn't had much attention yet is his horrific ‘joke’ about violence against LGBTQ+ people at Pride.🧵

In July of this year, John Rustad met with an anti-vax group that is suing Dr. Bonnie Henry. He said he regrets getting “the so-called vaccine” and accuses Dr. Henry of using it for “control on the population.”
