Stunning front cover of The Bluebird programme for Saturday's match with Birmingham City 💙
The edition is "dedicated to a generation lost – and the courage and determination of the Aberfan survivors and their families."
A big well done to the club for this 👏

Happy Trafalgar Day.
Nelson, in his dying moments, could say with confidence 'Thank God I have done my duty'.
Let us hope we can all say the same in our last minutes.

I know this isn't LinkedIn, but nonetheless, some professional news.
After 18 years, five books, three dozen papers and thousands of articles, presentations, podcasts, videos, media appearances etc etc – I am leaving the IEA in a few weeks' time.
I am, however, neither joining Novara Media, nor the Guardian, nor SOAS. I am not starting a podcast with Gary Stevenson either.
I'll continue to promote extremely uncool, cringey low-status opinions in other ways. Watch this space.
Went to the British Museum's new Korea exhibition, this afternoon. A few Koreans in there, but the audience was overwhelmingly Brits. I really do think that curiosity is such a fundamentally British characteristic. We're very keen to learn about that which is unfamiliar.

There are currently 211 Member Associations in FIFA. We dream of being the 212th.
We have the players, we have the passion. We won't stop until we're competing in the World Cup.

Horrible that @rmcunliffe was confronted with this bigotry - bigotry that she challenges cogently and decisively.

“I am a Jewish woman being called antisemitic. I don’t think you would sit here & lecture somebody of any other religion or race on what counted as bigotry or racism towards them in the way you have explicitly called me antisemitic..I don’t think you would do that

The creator of the 'Palestine poppy' is an Oxford-educated paediatrician who has written books for Muslim teenagers justifying stoning and warning that homosexuality is 'a test from Allah'.
Abdul Qader Ismail was accused of trying to 'hijack' Remembrance Day after he began selling an enamel pin shaped like a poppy in the colours of the Palestinian flag for £1.78 on eBay. The pin is listed as 'not for profit' with money being donated to Gaza charities.
The Spectator can now reveal that Ismail is an active member of Greens for Palestine and co-sponsored the group's 'Zionism is Racism' policy. He is also the author of a book series titled An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens.

Another mayor-ish policy. Welcome, but it's another excuse not to tackle the key issues.

This is indoctrination.
Why are the BBC promoting open borders in a game for children?
Deport illegal migrants and you lose points, but let them stay and a lawyer says it will make them “very happy.”
I don’t care about making illegal migrants happy.
They should be deported.
And the BBC must take this game down.
Not sure how to answer this. I was delayed, but not by much, received no information, but didn't need any information.
