Next Step Education

Just remembering how great the workshops from our College Readiness Bootcamp were! Mr. Armstrong from the Princeton Review gave our students some incredible insight into the ACT and SAT testing process. #stepbeyond

There's a difference between just going through life and actively making choices to fulfill your dreams! At Next Step, we want all of our students to succeed in their goals. In this TED Talk, Coach Wooden shares some great advice about how to succeed: buff.ly/2HBiCEm

Niles was such a bright spirit at all of our Next Step events this semester. He is taking charge of his dream to become a pharmacist by making sure he is informed about his options, prepared for college, and absolutely ready to take his #nextstep! #collegreadiness #stepbeyond

It was great having students tour Georgia State, Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University with Next Step. The students got to see the differences between the institutions and were able to refine their college search criteria going forward.

In Neveah's college search, she is looking for a place where she can feel accepted because "when people feel accepted, there is a positive energy that allows them to learn more about themselves." Going on the HBCU tours helped her decide what she wants in a college! #collegebound

Sending a huge thank you to all of our AKA sisters and volunteers for helping out with the NACAC College Fair this weekend! It was great to see the students receive such individualized care and get the most out of the fair. We hope to see you all there next year.

Here's a glimpse into the NACAC college fair from Sunday! It was great seeing the students take charge of their academic future! Make sure to register for our college tours on April 6th! Sign up at buff.ly/2GislM5
