Great opportunity for someone looking to start a career… sky.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/sk… – at Bristol, England
I wonder if today will be the last run out for SN03, our 1st proper IP truck? She has served well, including the Royal trifecta of wedding, jubilee & funeral, hubbing today’s 44 path event, but the chassis is less willing than the tech, so it might be time to bow out graciously.

8 paths of @NewTekInc NDI video, 8 @RIEDELnet IFBs, 11 paths of @OpenBroadcastSy MPEG4 video, all going to/coming from 2 different galleries, 1 real, 1 virtual. What could possibly go wrong…
Trying the @Ubiquiti UniFi LTE Pro to give my home network some 4G backup. Easy to set up, although I already have a UniFi setup, it takes about 10 pings to pick up the slack & inject cellular connectivity into the network, a relatively seamless cut over to 4G.
Interesting week but today we managed to put a new channel on air that was conceived about 9 days ago. Heady mix of @OpenBroadcastSy, @easyliveio, @singular4live & @TechexUK SRT. Can largely be run by 1 person.
Today's tweak, adding audio commentary from @skymarkwhite, via a WebRTC client, from his home.
A piece about the pop-up channel.
Sky News conceived and launched a channel dedicated to the trial of Derek Chauvin, who is accused of the murder of George Floyd, in just nine days. IBC365 finds out how it was done. ibc.org/how-sky-news-swiftly… @pennington1 @OpenBroadcastSy @SkyNews @SkyNewsTech
Also had a quick go on a @Satcubeterminal terminal, freshly arrived from Sweden. Nice bit of kit & big bandwidth improvement (relatively speaking) on a BGAN.
Productive evenings work, 27 @OpenBroadcastSy chassis’s opened up & new Mellanox cards installed.
12 years ago today, I was lucky enough to be on the Mall with @JTtvnews for @BarackObama’s Inauguration, it felt like a real moment in history. I’m not there this time, but today also feels like an auspicious day!
After threats from my wife to get rid of my currently-not-being-used @ArcamUK speakers, I had a bit of a rummage in the loft & reinstated my old @NADElectronics 310 amp, to give the boy’s new Xbox a bit of oomph 🔊
