How well do parking and kerbside spaces in Newham work for you?
You can comment on things like the cost of parking, permit zones, parking challenges, and tell us if you need more cycle storage or green space on your street.

This was raised in the meeting. We have been told a video will be posted afterwards

@NewhamLondon - no live streaming of Full Council? Will it be available at some point?
If we don’t support solar, why have we supported panels on our libraries and schools?
Entertaining to hear @NewhamSue supporting green policies in Newham, when Newham itself argues that solar is a dangerous thing!
Wish the council would get a firm, clear view on this.
Alas, when asked to, they refused to address the question, excluded it from the agenda.
As ever, social care event of the year
Thank you to those of you who joined us at this year’s Ageing Well Festival, to celebrate all of Newham’s residents aged 50+ 🎉
Around 500 people, including our committed volunteers, came along to the free event.

It was great to join @SME4LABOUR to talk about our ambition for Newham's town centres. We need to back entrepreneurs and support existing businesses. When our high streets thrive, our communities thrive too.

When people voted Labour in 2024, they wanted the sort of policies @andyburnham announced today. Labour is on the side of ordinary working people and I'll work with Andy and his government to make sure Newham benefits from this strong, principled Labour government

The Wild West approach to dockless e-bikes cannot continue.
I'm setting out my plan to improve safety and data sharing, tackle poor parking and create consistent standards across London.
TfL licensing is the key to making these schemes safer and better managed.

What I said was the overall reaction has been “why has this taken so long”. Personally I feel our residents would rather we deliver than focus on what did not happen under another administration
Replying to @NewhamSue @4Hussain
you’re the one that said why has this taken so long! I agree (though as you know this roll out began before the election)
Why focus on previous failings - residents want delivery @4Hussain ‘s administration is delivering.

Definitely interested in your insight now as the relevant cabinet member on why we failed to deliver it on time to meet the deadline and if that could have been avoided. The answers we got on scrutiny (while vague) were shocking.

Labour won’t sit back and allow empty dwellings to be left to rot.
Today, we’re strengthening powers for local leaders to take over empty and derelict homes and put them back into use.

For years, Avanti West Coast passengers have been left paying the price for underperforming services.
Enough is enough. We will bring Avanti into public ownership.
Well said. I have been pleased to see that pilots have gone well and response has been overwhelmingly: Why has this taken so long? Am looking forward to promoting it door to door
Food recycling being rolled out across @NewhamLondon - it will genuinely save residents money - we waste so much food - time to change our shopping and eating habits!
