Out of the massive 580-megawatt distributed dispatch that saved the day across that three-hour evening peak, Tesla hardware carried nearly the entire load.
We’re talking about 110,000 Powerwalls mobilizing simultaneously to dump 517 megawatts of clean, decentralized backup power straight into the grid right when it was needed most. That’s roughly 90% of the entire record-shattering event powered purely by Tesla tech.
Even with Sunrun owning and managing over half of those setups, it was Tesla’s engineering doing the real heavy lifting behind the scenes.
This is the exact playbook in action: rendering dirty, expensive gas peaker plants obsolete, keeping the lights on for everyday Californians, and showing anyone still sleeping on Tesla Energy just how disruptive this ecosystem really is.

Here is the absurdity: Japan is still marked by the language of 1945, while Russia can invade a neighbor and use its UN permanent Security Council seat to block action over its own aggression.
In 2016, an international tribunal rejected the legal basis for China’s sweeping “historic rights” claims in the South China Sea. China rejected the ruling. Its coast guard continues to intimidate Philippine vessels in disputed waters. So much respect for the international law when it doesn't serve its narrow national interests.
So Japan is still saddled with “enemy state” language from World War II, while Moscow and Beijing hold permanent seats on the body charged with keeping the peace.
China lectures Japan about the dangers of militarism while harrassing its neighbors on a daily basis and treating an adverse legal ruling as optional. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
Takaichi is right to demand reform. Delete the enemy state language. Expand the Security Council to include major nations like Japan and India. Make the institution reflect the world it claims to represent.
1945 ended. The UN should catch up.
Japan asked the UN to delete a WWII label that still calls it an "enemy state." China said no.
Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi made the request at the UN General Assembly on September 22. The label sits in UN Charter Articles 53 and 107, written in 1945 to let Allied powers act against Japan and other Axis states without Security Council approval. It has never actually been used.
Here's the twist. In 2005, world leaders including China agreed these clauses were outdated and should be deleted. China voted for that resolution. Twenty years later, deletion still hasn't happened, because it needs approval from all five permanent Security Council members, and China can block it.
China's response this week argued the clauses still matter to prevent a return of "militarism," and accused Japan of glorifying war criminals and expanding its military.
This isn't just history. In November 2025, China cited these same clauses after Takaichi suggested Japan could act if China used force against Taiwan.
So a country that already agreed the label is obsolete is the same country now refusing to remove it.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists filmed parts of their own attack. Years later, denial and minimization still persist.
Now Hamas has released propaganda showing children with weapons and participating in militant activity.
The accompanying Arabic audio glorifies martyrdom and explicitly invokes the Al-Qassam Brigades.
International law is clear: armed groups must not recruit or use children in hostilities. Recruiting or using children under 15 to participate actively in hostilities is a war crime under the Rome Statute.
And yet most people will never see this footage.
So make them see it.

GOOD NEWS 🇺🇸 Tesla Energy’s domestic battery supply chain in the US is set for a massive boost 🔥
A report from The Elec confirmed that Samsung SDI is reviving its Synergy Cells project in Indiana as a wholly owned site, completely pivoting away from EV cells to go all-in on large-format LFP batteries for stationary energy storage.
The plant is slated to launch in the second half of 2028, with talks already underway to pull production forward by a quarter, delivering over 10 gigawatt-hours per line with Tesla lined up as the prime customer.
This creates a formidable dual-factory pipeline in Indiana dedicated to feeding Tesla's storage ramp. Synergy Cells will join StarPlus Energy (SPE) Plant 1 in Kokomo, where line two of three converted LFP lines is scheduled to begin rolling out large-format prismatic ESS cells specifically for Tesla in the first half of next year.
The scale here is substantial: converting SPE Plant 1 to LFP pushes total site capacity from 33 gigawatt-hours to around 40 gigawatt-hours.
Samsung SDI is funding this multi-trillion-won expansion partly through the 4.45 trillion won sale of its Samsung Display stake, anchoring a massive capital expenditure push of roughly 4 trillion won next year to lock down American grid-scale demand.

BREAKING: Scientists at Pioneer Labs say they have engineered a microbe that can turn Martian dirt, water and processed air into building material for future Mars habitats.
The organism, called sPL.001, was developed to source its nutrients directly from Mars-like regolith despite salts and perchlorates that are toxic to many Earth organisms.
Inside a heated bioreactor, the microbe produces bioplastics that could be used to manufacture pressurized, radiation-shielded structures. Pioneer’s reference design estimates that equipment carried on a single rocket could produce enough material to build a small settlement over roughly four years.
The group says the strain was also deliberately designed to die rapidly if it escaped the bioreactor, reducing the risk of contaminating Mars.
Pioneer calls it the first of five organisms it believes would be needed to eventually make Mars more habitable.

That matters because high oil prices do not stop at the gas pump. They work their way into the cost of groceries, home heating, farm supplies, freight, travel, and nearly everything delivered by truck.

🚨 THE GAZA MEDIA FILTER — THEY EXPOSED THEMSELVES
A new 73-page dossier examines a 3½-hour Arabic interview with Motaz Azaiza, one of Gaza’s most prominent wartime photojournalists. The source material is a machine-translated transcript, and the dossier explicitly says key passages should be checked against the original Arabic audio.
But what Azaiza says is extraordinary.
He says that on October 7, he filmed Israeli captives being hit by Palestinians — and deliberately did not publish the footage because the people appearing in it could be identified by Israel.
He also describes a practice among Gaza journalists when civilians criticized Hamas:
Lower the camera. Film it, then delete it.
And he alleges that a Hamas-affiliated WhatsApp network called “SMART” helped manage the media discourse and coordinate attacks on people who crossed the narrative.
It raises a much more important question:
How much of what the world saw had already been filtered before it ever reached a Western newsroom?
