That’s a lie.
Israel & Hamas agreed to a 3-phase hostage release & ceasefire deal.
Israel refused to move to the second phase. Hamas insisted Israel stick to the agreement.
Israel then cut off all food, medicine & other supplies to Gaza.
It’s now fully breaking the ceasefire.

*Two consecutive nights* of pogroms and settler violence in villages and towns across the West Bank, with a clear intent to sabotage the hostage deal and the #ceasefire agreement.
One of the first things @realDonaldTrump did upon taking office was to lift #sanctions imposed on viilent settlers. Last week, Defense Minister @Israel_katz canceled administrative detentions against violent settlers.
Last night, backed by the Israeli establishment, dozens of settlers entered the village of #Funduq, burned vehicles, and attacked homes and Palestinian residents.
We cannot allow this to continue! Please help us fight against settler violence in the West Bank. Donate here >> tinyurl.com/5hawhzde

Israel’s Supreme Court affirmed the illegality of political interference in police investigations, despite Ben-Gvir’s efforts to do so. This is a victory for @acri_online, who petitioned against this law, and a victory for safeguarding democratic norms.

Despite the immense difficulties getting aid into Gaza, so far we have managed to transport 150 trucks full of food and aid into the Gaza Strip! This is a massive success, and each week we receive new updates of additional trucks that have managed to enter Gaza. >>

VICTORY: Supreme Court blocks political control over police investigations!
In a 5-4 ruling on ACRI's petition, the Court struck down a key provision in Amendment 37 to the Police Ordinance that gave the National Security Minister direct control over police investigations. The ruling prevents political interference in law enforcement decisions and protects the professional independence of the police force.
The past two years under this politicized system have shown exactly why this ruling was crucial: violence in Arab society has reached unprecedented levels, while case-solving rates have plummeted dramatically. We've witnessed increased police brutality at protests, arbitrary arrests of Arab citizens, and systematic attempts to reshape police leadership based on political loyalty rather than professional merit.
While the Court maintained the Minister's authority to set general policy, it established a clear boundary: no political official can direct or interfere with police investigations. This creates an essential firewall between political oversight and professional law enforcement.
This ruling is a victory for all who believe in professional, independent law enforcement. But the fight continues - join us in our ongoing work >>>english.acri.org.il/donation

Yesterday, the Knesset held a discussion on unauthorized construction in East Jerusalem. Given that, in 2024, demolitions in EJ were the highest on record, the discussion should've addressed the restrictive planning policy that often leads Palestinian residents to build w/o a permit (and risk having their homes demolished).
Instead, the committee wanted to focus on how to *strengthen enforcement and increase demolitions*. Aviv Tatarsky, Ir Amim’s senior researcher, was there to set the record straight on the extreme discrimination in planning policy that severely restricts housing options for Palestinian residents of the city and that every year leads to the destruction of hundreds of family homes:

Receiving this video from Gaza this week amid the horrific news every day brought us a much-needed spark of hope. To know that we were able to organize people in our society to package aid that has a real impact on the lives of Palestinians in Gaza is incredibly powerful, and reminds us that we are capable of changing our reality. While it’s exciting to see the aid reach those who need it most, this is only a temporary solution, and only a ceasefire can end the starvation and destruction in Gaza.
We need a ceasefire and hostage deal now - for Palestinians in Gaza, for the hostages still in captivity, for all of us.

There are only a few more hours to give to justice, democracy, equality in Israel before 2024 comes to an end. Support Israelis and Palestinians on the ground who look at the present reality and dare to imagine a better future. Join us. Give.

Israeli municipal officials demolished 9 homes in one day in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Al-Bustan this month–claiming to make way for "urban renewal". Read the whole article, and see what our grantee @IrAmimAlerts had to say about that “urban renewal”.
In a recent WaPo article on demolitions in Al-Bustan, a spokesman for the Jerusalem municipality said the homes in Al-Bustan were being demolished to advance “urban renewal plans...tailored to meet the needs of the local population”.
What are these "urban renewal plans" ?
Demolishing Al-Bustan to build in its place a touristic complex with a high likelihood of being managed by a settler organization (as the nearby City of David archeological park, which is managed by the settler organization Elad).
So, when the spokesman says the plan intends to meet the “needs of the local population”, it’s clear he doesn’t mean those of the local Palestinian population which is having their homes destroyed and is not being offered any secure housing alternative, but, rather, the specific needs of the state and settler organizations which have been working systematically, for years, to push Palestinian families out of Silwan and to transform the face of the neighborhood.
