“Anyone filling Maghaberry prison full of kids from Derry and West Belfast don’t have a plan. They must know this is going nowhere other than frankly sending more kids to jail.” - @columeastwood

“If we’re selling a positive vision of what we want to achieve, the campaign has to reflect that. When we’re arguing for change and selling a better future if we’re approaching that with a negative and divisive tone then that’s what people think it will feel like” - @Tiernanbrady

“More and more people are coming forward saying I’m interested in this for normal political, economic reasons, not for any historical reason and we’re seeing political Unionism react to that.” - @columeastwood

“We have to turn the argument around. It’s about reconciliation. It’s about the economy. It’s not about some romantic notion, it’s about making people’s lives better” - @columeastwood

“The process of getting all our ducks in a row should start early. Everyone will have their own constituency to talk to and they’re the best person to do it. The other side doesn’t have to convince someone to vote no, they just have to create doubt” - @Tiernanbrady

Our mission is to build a new Ireland by winning a referendum. That means we need to understand the needs, hopes, concerns and fears of everyone but particularly people in the middle who are open to change. @ColumEastwood speaking to @dmcbfs at this year’s @FeileBelfast.

“This constitutional context isn’t working. It doesn’t work for young nationalists in Derry. It doesn’t work for young unionists in this city. It’s not reconciliation OR unity. It’s reconciliation AND unity. And better public services for everyone who lives here.”

“It’s a very good idea to put the political parties, and the trade unions, the business organisations, and the community organisations into a room to discuss a new Ireland.” - @columeastwood at @FeileBelfast

“People have been asked to wait long enough and they’ve been told not yet too many times. Presidential voting rights shouldn’t be an issue at all. Why can’t we talk about reconciliation in a political context that makes people’s lives better?” - @columeastwood at @FeileBelfast

‘People are now looking for what’s next. There’s a whole generation of people who are looking for something different. People are saying why do we have to be stuck here in a constitutional context that doesn’t work for people?’ - @columeastwood at @FeileBelfast.
