Why did we decide to migrate to @base? Institutional userbase: Base has solidified itself as the institutional web3 playground, with a wealth of connections at Coinbase and in the US. Aqualibre’s clients are large businesses, governments, and institutions, with these larger players likely to buy onchain tokenized carbon credits at large quantities. $AQLA stands to benefit from this userbase once converted to customers and/or token holders. Fast transactions, low fees: Once we have millions of carbon credits tokenized and onchain, they’ll be traded on our 100% onchain ordeebook DEX. Setting limit orders and high frequency trading is expensive if the fees are high, yet Base has extremely low fees to handle these requirements. We expect this to result in more volume through the DEX and therefore more $AQLA staking rewards. Easy on/off ramp and bridge connections: $AQLA has previously been limited by accessibility due to few on/offramps, new wallets, and few bridge connections. The migration to Base solves all the above problems by allowing access to Aqualibre from almost anywhere in web3. With a wealth of integrated bridges, M*tamask connection, and direct CEX transfers, Base is the perfect new home. Real World Asset Hub: It is hard to ignore Base’s push towards onchain RWAs, something that has accelerated since Blackrock’s public statements to “tokenize everything”. As the home of RWAs, it only makes sense that Aqualibre brings millions of carbon credits onchain, available to trade 24/7 internationally.

$AQLA IS MIGRATING TO BASE 🔥 The time has finally come for Aqualibre to spread its sails and deploy its onchain carbon credit marketplace on @base, bringing millions of tokenized carbon credits onchain and available to purchase globally. Now, we have a home to build out the rails through which institutional and retail clients alike can access our tokenized carbon credits. At a random time this week, a snapshot will be taken, recording the amount of $AQLA held in wallets, currently unstaking, and staked at aqla.app. The following week, you will be able to link your Kujira wallets to a base-compatible wallet and the migration process will begin. There will be an initial 1 week period where we will process migrations before closing them shortly to remint and relaunch trading on Base. Migrations will then reopen, and they will be processed weekly for the next 3 months so you have plenty of time to do this.
