Interesting, years ago @Wesley_Morris mentioned on BigPic that TIFF is where deals get done, has a corporate vibe. Looks like they’ve leaned into it.

Trust you read it at @ukings during FYP?
Great piece by @dannychau even without any Scarborough food recommendations built into the piece.
As someone who left home in L.A. to build a life in Toronto back in 2019, Kawhi's return means a whole lot to me.
On the eve of my first Canada Day as a citizen, I wrote about the player who changed the course of my life. theringer.com/2026/06/30/nba…
Looking forward to @brofromanother reading this out to @SeanFennessey in TO.
This features Lemieux fighting the great @NevinMarkwart !
Honoured to have served as alumni rep on the search committee for the next President of the @ukings . Excited to see Timothy Vine announced as the new President. Looking forward to welcoming Dr. Vine, alumni, please reach out and get involved!

Continue to be impressed with @cohere team. Have always been looking internationally for growth. CDN tech firms need this access to the international and cannot be reliant with domestic markets.
Cohere and Aleph Alpha are joining forces to build a leading sovereign AI platform, anchored in Canada and strengthened by Germany.
This is an important moment for Canada, Germany, and democratic countries that want trusted AI options built with our values, our workers, our IP, and our data in mind.
Sovereignty is not solitude. It means building with trusted partners, from a position of strength.

Congrats to the Vice-Chair of the Board of @ukings @DarrellEDexter, I'm honoured to serve on the Board with him.
Please join us in congratulating our Vice Chair, @DarrellEDexter, on his appointment to the Order of Nova Scotia!
This prestigious honour recognizes Nova Scotians who have made outstanding contributions across the province in their professions and communities.
Congrats Darrell!
Ha, 28 years ago is so long! I’m sure this isn’t the CIAU in Halifax that @iananywhere and I watched Bishops beat Mac.
28 years since their last national semifinal showdown, it is Bishop's vs. Victoria again at the @USPORTSca Final 8, with a spot in the gold medal game on the line.
Who gets Carleton tomorrow? We have it for you now on @cbcsports --
Corporate Canada needs way more of this, thank you @FionaMcK and @tobi Hate public always looking to govt, industry in CDN should also step up like in other countries.
With the end of the Olympics in sight, @tobi
and I are donating 1M to Great to Gold, a distinct fund within the @CDNOlympicFDN that is very entrepreneurial and data driven. They run the numbers, pick the winners, and give them what they need. Of the 19 medals won by Canada so far, 15 of them are supported by Great to Gold. If your family has enjoyed the Olympics as much as we have, consider helping out the athletes that have brought us so much joy. Team Canada forever!

Not mentioned: CBC used the international announcer feed for XC and Biathlon, both not great. Why not have CDN’s call it from the feed in Canada?
NEW COLUMN for @CBCOlympics:
Gold (tie): Vladyslav Heraskevych and Johannes Høsflot Klæbo.
Silver: Elana Meyers Taylor
Bronze (tie): Mikaela Shiffrin and Femke Kok.

Other than the RBC niche program, this ain’t the case. Really wish it was though. That, and if you live in Calgary it helps a lot.
Man, thinking about @TaoofStieb and @TheAck and all those years of them writing about the Jays. World Series time!
About a decade ago I went to Winnipeg for work and stayed in haunted Room 202. It was pre-renovation, room looked way creepier than the picture below. It was a very strange night, and I didn't sleep well at all.
The Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg is considered to be one of the most haunted place in Canada.
From the ghostly guests who remain there, to the haunted Room 202, it is a place with plenty of paranormal happenings.
This is the haunted story!

ALT A photo of a grand, multi-story hotel with a light-colored stone facade and a distinctive green steeple roof, surrounded by modern high-rise buildings in an urban setting. The hotel features arched windows and a prominent entrance with a canopy, with trees and vehicles visible on the street below, and a Canadian flag atop the building.
Yes! This would be awesome and hopefully not influenced by Big Snowshoe.
Cross-country running could be Winter Olympic event by 2030 thetimes.com/sport/olympics/…
Honoured to have poured a drink at Mike’s Place for half of the Board. (I’m pretty sure)
We're growing!
Excited to recognize our expanding Build Canada team today, including our new Board Member @FionaMcK and our core volunteers 🙌
Dream. Team.
