This one left me torn. On one hand it has some great characters but on the other it's about as standard a 40k story as you can get.
For our Wednesday book review, Nevi wrote up his impressions of The Gate of Bones, the second book in 40K's new Dawn of Fire series. See what he thought: bitsandpieces.games/2021/03/…

My first attempt to get into some Eldar fiction went pretty well. Howl of the Banshee gave enough flavour to get me interested in space elves, which is impressive. It's short, brutal and has heart, and worth a read/listen.
Enjoyed reading about street fights more than I was expecting. It's hardly amazing but it's pretty and punchy.
