Core Nomy nators never saw her as the winner. We just wanted her to survive evictions every week .
Which one is "the polls humbled Nomy nators" . You have no idea how happy i am sef 😂😂

The franchise is not even ashamed. With all the violence that happened on the show, the only strike was given to a girl for not staying stuck on a seat that’s even too small for a 10yr old. Shame on you @bbnaija @MrKayVee & everyone that enabled the abuse Nomy endured from Biggie
Show Ya Sef gave us some serious gbas gbos. 🥊
From heated arguments to explosive confrontations, these fights had everyone talking.
Which one was the most intense?

Nomy apologized to you that day Cassi left, she was sitting on her bed crying. You accepted the apology….
Same you went back to your coven witches, started narrating Nomy to them…
Because of the hate in ur covens heart towards Nomy, they brainwashed you, influenced your hate towards Nomy.
Your favourite, Oompa Loompa, snitched you to Nomy, hence the back and fort you had with Nomy that Sunday night.
Totopia just said in her interview, that Your constant bringing Nomy matter to them, brought all of you together. Go and apologize to Nomy my dear

The people that said she was a production plant were not far from the truth. She got away with things past housemates got strikes for.
Again, very odd season. Odd in more ways than one.

Who keeps inventing these Igbo traditions on the internet? Because some of the things y’all confidently attribute to Igbo culture, I have NEVER seen or heard in my life.
Most of you have learnt more about Igbo culture from Nollywood and X than from actual Igbo communities, and it shows.
An Ijaw girl who probably hasn’t even lived in any part of Igboland is now telling us that “Umuada is powerful” is a useless phrase. Wonders!!! 😭
@TDeisine,
Honestly, I don’t really blame you. I blame my loudmouthed, foolish, empty-headed, unaware and uninformed Igbo sisters who have probably spent their entire lives outside the shores of Igboland. Some have never even stayed in their communities for a full month, yet they speak the loudest when dragging Umuada, an institution they have never interfaced with.
I have had the opportunity to attend Umuada meetings, so I have firsthand experience of their role in our communities. This doesn’t mean every practice is beyond criticism, but you cannot dismiss an institution you barely understand based on assumptions and internet gist.
I see what y’all do on X every day. You pick one Igbo cultural practice after another and ridicule, misrepresent or downplay its essence. Meanwhile, other ethnic groups have their own controversial practices, even worse than the ones they’re trying to poke at. Many of these are misogynistic practices, but somehow, we hardly hear about those. Yet y’all suddenly want to form "woke" when it comes to Omenala/Odinala Igbo!
I have mostly looked away and refused to give attention or energy to most of these posts because these things don’t reflect my lived experience or actual reality. But it seems keeping quiet has emboldened ignorant people to speak with so much confidence about things they barely understand.
Igbo women are among the most pampered and empowered women in Africa, yet some of our foolish sisters are the loudest in diminishing the role of Umuada and Igbo culture while branding themselves "wicked feminists."
I call them "ndị ife na-eme na isi" because they’re shallow lots who don’t even understand the feminism they claim to practise. And rightly, as Chimamanda said, some of these women mistake misandry for feminism. Laughable!
Now, on inheritance: yes, some traditional settings restrict inheritance of the "ancestral Obi" when there are male heirs, but that does not mean Igbo women never inherit land or property at all.
I know of a family in my community with only twin daughters. Both inherited their father’s ancestral lands, and one even built a house in his Obi. My own mother inherited land and other properties from her late father too.
When a father has the capacity, he can share his property among his children. Wealthy fathers give their daughters shares too. You cannot take the circumstances of a poor father with a few plots to share among his sons and turn that into a blanket indictment of Umuada.
In some Igbo traditions, a woman’s share is believed to be in her husband’s home. So if inheritance is your concern, the conversation should also address inheritance in your father’s or husband’s family rather than blaming Umuada for every situation.
And please, if buying drinks for Umunna and Umuada is your modern-day problem, tell whoever is coming to marry you to marry you on credit...as in hire purchase! 😂
Now I understand why some of our people in this generation are so disconnected from their roots. Y’all think wearing Akwaete, Akwa Ocha and Isi Agu and making noise about some supposed Igbo hangout automatically makes you grounded in Igbo culture and traditions. You knuckleheads need to go outside and touch real grass!
And to my Ijaw sister, resist the urge to speak authoritatively on things you have no clear knowledge or in-depth understanding of. This ignorance is too loud for comfort.
Next time you speak on another people’s culture, do proper research, get your facts straight, and don’t make a fool of yourself.
T for Thanks ✌️
Sorry to my Igbo friends and mutuals but “Umuada is powerful” is a very useless phrase. A powerful group of women that cannot fight for their right to inherit their father’s property?
Your Umuada is only powerful when it’s time to frustrate bride and grooms during marriage ceremony and children of their late relatives during burials.
Organization of lace blouse and Amstel malt .
Most of you Igbos spewing gibberish about Umuada are speaking from a distance, from pain, or from things you watched in Nollywood. Some of you have never attended an Umuada meeting or participated in one in your own community, yet you’re confidently telling everyone what Umuada is about.
I was born and raised in Port Harcourt. I struggled to speak Igbo fluently; I could speak Ikwerre and Efik fluently. But I decided to trace my roots, and my first real involvement with Umuada opened my eyes to things I never knew.
A lot of the people complaining about Umuada asking for malt and biscuits are people who barely come home, don’t participate in community projects, don’t pay community dues, and only show up around December or when there’s a wedding or burial. Then Umuada asks for their contribution and suddenly everybody has something to say.
In my community, Umuada may not have political power, but we have influence and responsibility.
We pushed for an amendment to our marriage list.
We contributed money to replace our village transformer.
We contributed to the renovation of our primary school.
When there were security challenges, we raised funds to support the men protecting the community.
We also carry out yearly welfare checks on our sisters in their respective husbands’ homes. When any sister needs support, we contribute through our monthly dues or individual donations.
So how exactly do you think all these things are funded?
Before you sit online and reduce Umuada to “malt and biscuits,” go back to your own community and participate. Ask questions. Learn how your people actually operate.
Change begins with you.
“Igbo women are loud about feminism because men allow it.”
Men should stop talking about feminism; they sound foolish doing it. If a woman’s freedom to speak about men’s brutality toward women exists only because “men allowed it,” she is not truly free.
Saying women are too loud about feminism and that it is unnecessary, while citing women in Afghanistan, is shooting yourself in the foot. Afghan women’s inability to speak for themselves because men subjugate them is exactly why feminism matters.
We will not stop talking about feminism until we have the right to speak like every other human being, not because of the “benevolence of men.”
Osim Umuada is powerful…
Those birds only care about food and malt.
What rights do the Umuada have in Igbo land ? They only ask you to buy malt at weddings and burials.

Why are these ladies so concerned with this gambit thing? You people had 6 weeks ahead of Aikou to solidify your base! Y'all bought all the materials and booked all the vendors. You set up structures and had a template to work off!
Aikou and Flora had to START from SCRATCH after having lost a substantial amount of fans to other hms! I was one of them! If Neche hadn't left, i dont think I would be with Aikou today!
The gambit thing messed them up big time....you both didn't have their type of traction from day 1! That boy has done nothing but show himself unlike you who has performed for people!
The fact that a 2 week fanbase is causing all of this brouhaha is so strange to me.

This housemates got away with a lot of things but they were quick to give Nomy a strike for not sitting on bench smh
This season is the most toxic season I have witnessed. Very vile housemates that will go to any length to poke and gather each other to bully and plan hate on one another. Biggie encouraged a lot of the bullying just for views and the hm showed up. #BBNaija
