Where is leadership research headed next? Last week, at #AOM2026, NLS award winners explored how AI, shifting workplace norms, moral scrutiny, and decentralized leadership are challenging traditional theories—and creating exciting new directions for the field.

What a night for NLS at #AOM2026 this past Sunday! A packed room gathered to celebrate Tingyu Du, Andrew Hanna, Fadel Matta, and Sue Ashford. The turnout made visible what we’ve been feeling: new energy is building in NLS, and leadership research is more alive than ever.

And the 4th annual leadership doctoral consortium at AOM 2026 is officially in the books! We brought together doctoral students and leadership scholars for an afternoon of thoughtful discussion, mentoring, and community building. #AOM2026 #LeadershipResearch #DoctoralConsortium
