By chance, Paul was diagnosed with prostate cancer. This prompted his son to get tested too and he was also diagnosed. Our TV appeal is inspired by similar stories and will help fund research that'll stop men dying too soon. 🎬 Watch Paul's full story: bit.ly/3IAGw0w

The pandemic is *ongoing*. 3,024 UK deaths this year to 23 Feb 2024. 1 in 35 in UK with Long Covid March 2023 (when govt stopped counting). SARS2 is airborne. We *at least* need #CleanAir in all public indoor spaces. 4/4.
Long🧵 #COVID19 and where we are. I’m worried. We are entering the 5th year of the pandemic and we are certainly in a different phase. This phase is marked by an evolving virus (with the XBB and BA.2 sublineages circulating and JN.1 becoming dominant). xitter.cf/mvankerkhove/status/17…

I know this interview will resonate with many people with cancer. Care coordination through out cancer journey is vital, but patchy, as are compassionate expert communication skills. @macmillancancer lots of resources on both.
After being diagnosed with throat and neck cancer earlier this year, comedian @mrmarksteel tells #R4Today about his experiences with the NHS. It comes as a new report from @Demos highlights the frustrations people have about communication from the health service.
