🇮🇳 A quiet fact that should make every Indian sit up: India is now one of only a handful of nations on earth attempting to build its own fighter jet engine from scratch. The club that has ever done it: 🇺🇸 United States 🇬🇧 United Kingdom 🇷🇺 Russia 🇫🇷 France 🇨🇳 China (still maturing) That's it. Not Japan. Not Germany. Not Israel. The jet engine is the single hardest machine in military aviation — the one technology no country will sell you, because whoever controls it controls what you're allowed to fly. India has failed at this before. Kaveri stalled for years. But the dry engine just cleared trials at 48.5 kN, and a 120 kN fighter-grade programme is now moving. The finish line is still years away. But the fact that India is even on this track puts it in rarer company than nuclear powers or spacefaring nations. Some races matter more for who's running than who's winning. #AatmanirbharBharat

This looks like an admin reshuffle. It is actually a reading of where India expects the next attack to land. From 1 November, CISF restructures into dedicated sectors — Power (split into two), Coal, Steel, Petroleum & Natural Gas, and East & West Coast Ports among them. Why this matters beyond the org chart: The threats defining 2026 are not soldiers at a border. They are drones over oil infrastructure, cyber intrusions into power grids, and sabotage of ports & energy nodes — the exact targets being hit across the Gulf & the Black Sea right now. A force that guards 350+ installations is specialising precisely where modern conflict has moved: the civilian infrastructure that keeps a country running. The frontline of the next war may be a substation, a refinery or a container terminal. India is reorganising to defend it. @CISFHQrs @HMOIndia #CISF
CISF Strengthens Critical Infrastructure Security Through Functional Reorganisation With the concurrence of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the revised functional structure of CISF will come into effect from 1st November 2026, aligning sectoral supervision with the specialised security requirements of critical infrastructure. The reorganisation introduces dedicated sectors for Power-I, Power-II, Coal, Steel, Petroleum & Natural Gas, West Coast Ports, East Coast Ports, and Government Buildings, Museums & Monuments & MRTS. The initiative aims to strengthen sector specific expertise, operational oversight, specialised training, uniformity in security practices and coordination with stakeholder organisations, enhancing CISF’s preparedness to address evolving security challenges. #NationFirst #NationalSecurity @HMOIndia @PIB_India @mygovindia @DDNewslive

🇮🇳✈️ INDIA’S HOMEGROWN JET ENGINE TAKES A MAJOR STEP FORWARD! The indigenous Kaveri Dry Engine, developed by DRDO’s GTRE, has cleared high-altitude and flight trials in Russia, achieving 48.5 kN of dry thrust—exceeding its 46 kN target. The next steps are certification, integration and further flight testing for India’s planned Ghatak stealth UCAV. A significant milestone in India’s pursuit of aerospace self-reliance. 🇮🇳 #IndianDefence

Summary of what's happening in World right now #WW3 possibly? | October 19. Putin proposes to decide Ukraine's future — without Ukraine in the room: The Kremlin confirms Putin has floated a Trump–Putin–Xi summit, possibly alongside November's APEC meet in China, to discuss ending the war. The format would exclude Kyiv & every European capital. China signals it won't object if Trump agrees. Kyiv & its allies are alarmed — a settlement designed by three powers, imposed on a fourth. Europe is burning over the cost of living: France saw its worst unrest in years — ~550,000 marched, nearly 2,400 arrested, ~1,000 police injured. Italy: a second day of clashes in Milan, a general strike called for 20 Nov. Albania: 6 days of protests, 388 charged, the PM refusing to resign. Three EU states, same fuse — prices, wages & housing. The war is leaking into NATO's skies: NATO jets scrambled over Lithuania after a suspected drone entered its airspace & apparently exploded — Kaunas airport briefly shut, debris hit a civilian car. Lithuania says it came from Poland; Ukraine suspects Russian electronic warfare diverted it. Romania shot down 2 drones over its Black Sea waters Saturday. NATO meets Tuesday on the incursions. The Ukraine intel squeeze, resolved — for now: The US has resumed sharing Russian missile-launch warnings with Kyiv after a 3-day gap, Zelensky says. But Starshield speed limits remain, & Zelensky is openly criticising Washington's move to buy Russian diesel & waive sanctions. Trump's stated reason: keeping Moscow at the table. Saudi Arabia's defensive math is failing: A strike on Riyadh's airport killed 13+. A US official concedes Saudi defences stop 90%+ of missiles aimed at protected sites — but over HALF of Houthi attacks hit undefended ones. You cannot shield a country the size of a continent. Riyadh is seeking help from Turkey, Pakistan & Europe. Trump ties India's neighbourhood to a ballot box: Trump has endorsed Netanyahu before Israel's 27 Oct election — & suggested further US action against Iran could depend on him staying in office. Rarely is the link between one election & a regional war stated so plainly. The outbreak nobody's watching: Kenya confirms its 8th Ebola case (Bundibugyo strain — no vaccine, no cure). Across the border, DR Congo has logged 9,400+ cases & 4,500+ deaths since May. A health emergency moving faster than the headlines.
Summary of what's happening in World right now #WW3 possibly? | October 18. Iran names its price to reopen the world's oil artery: FM Araghchi says the Strait of Hormuz will reopen on day 6 — IF Washington meets Tehran's conditions: end the naval blockade, lift oil sanctions, ceasefire on all fronts, talks on day 7. The plan was sent via Qatar. Washington says the strait is already open; Tehran says nothing moves without its permission. Brent crude is reported above $110. A fifth of the world's oil runs through this water — and India buys much of its crude through it. The largest drone raid of the war: Russia's MoD claims 1,015 Ukrainian drones downed overnight — up from 654 the night before. A VK data centre, a substation (~20,000 without power), an oil depot & an Ozon warehouse reportedly hit. Ukrainian drones allegedly crossed Estonian & Latvian airspace — Lithuania & Latvia issued air-raid alerts. The war is leaking over NATO's borders. Signed, then unsigned: The US has formally waived the Graham Act sanctions on Russia days after enacting them. Moscow called it "a historic moment." Zelensky, meanwhile, has asked the EU for €155 billion & says throttled Starlink speeds are disabling Ukraine's interceptor drones. Washington's reply: Starshield "is not currently available to Ukraine," and no one ordered a slowdown. The Gulf war's spreading map: Saudi Arabia intercepted 2 Houthi ballistic missiles & a drone early Sunday. Riyadh's main airport stayed closed; Kingdom Center staff told to work remotely "until further notice." Egypt's Sisi pledged to defend Saudi Arabia "if requested" — an Egyptian C-130 has reportedly landed in Taif. A Reuters investigation counts 135+ Iranian missile & drone hits on Gulf infrastructure since the war began. A tragedy at home base: Canada is mourning after a major explosion & fire at CFB Wainwright, Alberta, caused mass casualties. PM Carney called it "a serious incident." Cause unconfirmed, RCMP investigating. A reminder that soldiers are lost far from any front line. The number that should worry New Delhi: Iraq says the war has already cost it ~$60 billion in lost oil revenue. When a neighbour's war drains $60B from one economy, no trading nation is truly outside it.

Daily Israel-Iran War Brief 19th October 2026: - US diplomatic missions across the Middle East — Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Kuwait, the UAE & other neighbours — issued security alerts on 18 October, warning American citizens to exercise vigilance. A coordinated, region-wide advisory of this kind usually signals heightened threat assessments. - Qatar's Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, said Doha will soon announce a local defence-production hub — developed in partnership with a regional ally alongside the US, UK & France. - IRGC spokesperson Brig Gen Hossein Mohebbi claimed the Guards have expanded military capabilities by at least 1.5x in both quantity & quality, through ramped-up production of missiles & drones. - The GCC foreign ministers called for a return to dialogue & diplomacy to resolve the current US–Iran crisis. - Houthi forces launched a concentrated assault on a government military camp in southern Yemen, reportedly killing at least 53 soldiers — one of the deadliest single strikes on Yemeni government forces in this phase. #WW3possibly
Daily Israel-Iran War Brief 17th October 2026: - Israel has begun sharing intelligence on Houthi forces in Yemen with Saudi Arabia through US mediation. Riyadh requested US assistance, Washington relayed it to Jerusalem & Israel agreed — it regards the Houthis as a threat of its own. - Trump issued an executive order implementing the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia & Iran Act of 2026 — waiving tariffs of up to 500% on Russian goods & the duties & sanctions targeting purchasers of Russian energy. - Iran's Ambassador & Chargé d'Affaires to the UN, Gholamhossein Darzi, told a UNSC meeting on the Middle East that Iran remains committed to upholding the safety & security of international navigation. - CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper: the naval blockade has rendered ~$25 billion in Iranian oil exports unusable & interagency efforts have frozen $350 million in cryptocurrency assets. - IRGC Navy says a second oil supertanker caught fire early this morning after striking a naval mine — carrying 2 million+ barrels of crude, with radar & positioning systems switched off, attempting an unauthorized route through the Strait of Hormuz.

8/8 Jaswant Singh Rawat’s story is not only about war. It is about duty when fear is real. It is about courage when danger is overwhelming. It is about comrades who face the impossible together. And it is about a sacrifice that outlived the soldier who made it. @adgpi @SpokespersonMoD @HQ_IDS_India @PIB_India #JaswantSinghRawat #BattleOfNuranang #GarhwalRifles #MahaVirChakra #1962War #IndianArmy #Nuranang

3/8 At the Battle of Nuranang, Indian positions came under repeated attacks. An enemy medium machine gun threatened the defenders, making an already difficult situation even more dangerous. Someone had to silence it. Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat and his comrades volunteered for the perilous mission.

2/8 Just 21 years old, Jaswant Singh Rawat served with the 4th Battalion of the Garhwal Rifles. He wasn’t a general or a commander. He was a rifleman, a young soldier standing between his motherland and an advancing enemy. But courage isn’t measured by rank. It’s measured by action.

A fair question — and the answer is less about the UAE itself than about what it hosts. A few reasons analysts point to: ▪ US presence. The UAE hosts Al Dhafra Air Base — American aircraft, refuelling, surveillance. Striking the host is a way to raise the cost of basing US power in the Gulf without hitting the US homeland. ▪ Leverage through the economy. The UAE is the region's financial, aviation & logistics hub. Threatening Dubai's airports, data centres & shipping pressures the whole Gulf's stability — and the global markets that depend on it. ▪ Signalling. Hitting the most connected, most visible emirate sends a message to every neighbour weighing whether to host or assist US operations: there is a price. Important caveat: the "2,500+" figure is a reported assessment, and the UAE says nearly all were intercepted — so this is as much about intent & signalling as actual damage. In Gulf conflicts, geography often decides who gets hit — not grievance, but whoever sits closest to the thing the adversary actually wants to deter. Thank you for engaging.

Beautifully said — thank you for adding it. One small note that makes the salute even more precise: this particular mission was flown by the Indian Air Force (the C-130J & its aircrew). The Army, Navy, Air Force & Coast Guard all run these quiet rescues — between them, hundreds every year that never reach a headline. Different uniforms, same instinct: when an ordinary citizen is in trouble, someone goes. Glad it resonated with you. 🇮🇳

US-India Trade Deal Also Influenced Trump’s Russia Sanctions Waiver: Rubio US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has indicated that the proposed US-India trade deal was also a factor in President Donald Trump’s decision to grant a waiver related to Russia sanctions and tariffs. As Washington and New Delhi work towards finalizing their bilateral trade agreement, the development highlights the intersection of trade negotiations, energy markets, national security and strategic partnerships. #USIndia #MarcoRubio #Trump #TradeDeal #RussiaSanctions #Geopolitics #GlobalEconomy
