That’s precisely why we changed how UFAP warrants were used and expanded FBI agent scoping to empower our agents to get dangerous criminals off the streets—criminals prior leadership would have ignored. I said it repeatedly, and I meant every word. Prior FBI leadership’s decisions to largely avoid working with state and local law enforcement absent a direct federal nexus was a COMPLETE FAILURE. WE changed that strategy. WE prioritized cooperation over bureaucratic turf wars. WE put getting criminals off the streets ahead of arrest statistics and institutional egos.
