Working with animals isn't just a job, it is a calling, it is a way of life. It defines you. If you disagree, you should do something else.
Well, it's 2025. Time to peace out of this platform! You'll find me on the sky blue place or elsewhere, just search my name.
Bummed that tonight's PaxU JoCo + P&S show isn't being streamed like all the other Main Theater events. Set aside time to watch and everything.
The bus system is a major reason why I left the city and when I was looking for a place here, it had to be walkable/bikeable to work. Wasn't possible in Ottawa to find affordable housing anywhere near my job.

There was a #veterinary medicine category on @Jeopardy tonight and I am dead. Even better, an answer about fish anesthesia! Amazing.
And today, an animal category featuring pronghorn! I love this week @Jeopardy!

Congrats to our co-hosts Amber and @Joshbarbershop for their respective talks at @AALASnational this year! Great job representing all the aspects of working with aquatic animals in a research setting!
TFW many of your friends and colleagues are at the annual LAS conference but you are stuck in Canada house-sitting and doing elder care because you can't read your own goddamn schedule.
Zoo social media folks: please don't share photos of awake radiographs (X-rays) with your animals, where multiple staff are being exposed to radiation. It's a practice that needs to go away, especially for a "routine" non-emergency procedure.

🌊 It's #ThrowbackThursday! Remember our visit to @neaq? From stunning marine exhibits to up-close encounters with ocean life, it was an unforgettable adventure! 🦭🐠 Relive the experience from episode 27! #AquariumAdventures #PodcastRewind
Me heading to @DenverZoo on October 26th because I heard that Tropical Discovery re-opens that day
Can I just say: using a PVC cutter and manually chamfering schedule 80 PVC is sooooo satisfying. And that's not just the solvent fumes talking!

Got to try out like $5k worth of kit today at the zoo, and I was so excited/scared to break anything that I failed to set the camera to RAW 😭
A propos of nothing, I want to say I've lived in #AuroraCO for nearly 5 years. I love it here, I can cycle to work or on a number of great trails. The fucking FOOD options in this city. Incredible. Also, there's pronghorn.
