@TeamYouTube I hate to be a snitch, but I have no choice. A fellow creator, The “Faithful” Sheriff… admits here to abusing your Content ID matching system to issue a strike onto my channel 🙁 I’d rather not take this to a higher court if you’d be able to resolve it for me 🥲

That’s not how that system works actually! It’s a hub to show where your content may have been detected, then you have the ability to determine on a case by case basis what is and isn’t fair use.
I do have the ability to appeal, but doing so literally puts us into a legal dispute, which neither of us need! This is why I reached out here cordially, to let you know that you mistakenly issued a strike on my channel.
Only you have the ability to retract this without it becoming a highly unnecessary legal dispute. I hope this clears things up. If you’d like to discuss further privately I followed you so we can direct message.
Peace and love!
What a weird way to recontextualize your own headline for ragebait engagement

I love that Mike Flanagan is clearly a huge Battlestar Galactica fan and casting so many of the alum in his projects.

Liked this scene in the movie a lot, great look into the fucked up logic the ultra wealthy 0.001% use to justify their awful business practices to themselves. Quite alarmed that anyone sees this as the thesis of the film. He’s just trying to absolve himself of culpability!

6 years I've been a YouTuber.
Built my little corner of the internet. 5 Monetized channels, thought we were a positive place on the Internet.
But I clicked one fake brand deal email.
Now all of it is gone.
@TeamYouTube is trying to help but I just can't believe 1k videos are gone

There’s a shot in this scene that gave me one of the most potent rushes I’ve ever experienced with the IMAX format
I really liked Digger but my internal AI alarm went off with the news footage of city flooding.
I wish I could confirm this wasn’t the case but it seemed very similar to Seedance or Sora footage.

The thing about film discourse on here is that most people engage in absolutist statements based on their individual assessment of a movie. If they hate it they cannot conceive of someone else finding value in it. If they love they can’t conceive of someone finding flaws.

I’ll stop debating the meaning of Digger soon. It’s just I remember when Fight Club came out and all these people reduced it to pro-Tyler Durden.
Similar things happened with American Psycho. Killing Them Softly. Saltburn. Eddington.
People went hard on first reactions that are based on external ideas applied to the film rather than looking at what the film is building internally.
Like Eddington isn’t about the politics of the left and right. It’s about the loss of shared reality and how that impacts politics, government, marriages, friendships, etc.
I didn’t love Saltburn but I hated how many critics and film folk were saying Saltburn was a rich girl complaining about people taking advantage of the rich. But that’s not even close to what the movie’s about. It’s about someone sacrifice their substance in the pursuit of style, after realizing the world rewards the latter more than the former.
I feel like we’re experiencing something similar with Digger. And I’m just spending opening weekend putting an alternative reading out there so it’s at least a seed that’s been planted. What I expect is that in a few more years, more people will read the film less cynically and more earnestly.
So we’re going to have dueling SCP films between Neon and A24?
Neon is developing an anthology movie based on the community-driven horror forum The SCP Foundation.
The project, which will focus on platforming emerging filmmakers, is slated for release in 2027.
The SCP Wiki, created in 2008, is a collaborative speculative fiction website where users submit written works that expand the lore of the SCP Foundation, a secret organization that collects and studies supernatural and often highly dangerous objects and entities. Neon is releasing the film under the Creative Commons license CC BY-SA and has been in communication with the SCP Wiki team about adapting its works.

So that means we should expect the biggest Jon Watts bomb in his career that will scare them off from following through on this
After eight years and countless entries in the expanding onscreen universe, 'Star Wars' is revisiting the Skywalker family with its next project.
Deadline can confirm that Lucasfilm has tapped 'Skeleton Crew' co-creator Jon Watts (director of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming,' 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home') to helm the first installment in a new trilogy of the Skywalker Saga, which is being penned by Simon Kinberg ('X-Men: Dark Phoenix,' Prime’s 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith').

The Mr. Robot season 2 premiere was a double episode drop.
I missed the first episode and accidentally started watching the second without realizing it. I finished the entire episode and just thought it was a crazy way to kick off the season.
People obviously feel very embolden to support this kind of reaction because the discourse around bad theater etiquette is at an all time high.
But it’s crazy this happened at Burbank 16 where the audience is typically, in my experience, pretty tame 99% of the time.
A man was arrested for allegedly pepper-spraying someone who was using their cellphone during a movie screening at a Burbank theater.

Film Colossus is doing really well right now.
I had left it dormant for over a year, because I was going to be a dad and thought I'd get a content manager job that would provide a more stable income. But after only 10 months, the company had burned through a ton of money and had to lay off almost everyone. So much for stability.
I've since applied to well over 300 jobs. With no luck. Turns out when your background is "a music podcast with 3 million downloads, a website with 10 million pageviews, and a YouTube channel with 11 million views" that corporations aren't, like...in love with that.
So I decided to give Film Colossus another go. It was down to about 1,500 pageviews a day. In August, I got that back up to around 2.5k-3k. But my old content model wasn't cutting it.
With Hope, I tried a new approach (ironically enough). And pageviews suddenly exploded to 5k per day. And now, with Resident Evil, I'm over 10k views just today.
And a lot of those views have been from Twitter. So it means a lot that so many of you are not only checking out the work but also saying nice things about it.
It's just me running the site and creating. So every like, every repost, every comment, every share, really means a lot.
