I always listened to girls why they don't want to be part of sports in Brazil - did my whole thesis in Uni about it and just read a great article on "Women In Sports" with what help girls start (and continue) playing sports!
This matters!
The moment is now! Get girls playing 💪🏼

I've said it before, and I'll say it again – the legacy of the underinvestment of women's sports isn't just blatant sexism (which it is), it's also a lesson in gross business incompetence.
There's so much more to do.
Unbelievable. @virginactiveSA @jessicaspira You should aim to put safety first at your clubs. Terrible experience today.

“You’re slow, buddy,” a man shouted at Martinus Evans during the New York City Marathon.
Evans was angry, then inspired: He created the Slow AF Run Club, a community for back-of-the-packers. And this month, he’s releasing his first book. nyti.ms/3IORMHq

Btw to the people that are suddenly concerned about my career- There are plenty of male athletes with kids that are significantly less accomplished, you might wanna worry about them instead. Thanks for the concern, might wanna redirect it to someone that needs it though 😬.

It is with a deep sense of loss and sadness that we mourn the passing of our friend and colleague; former NBA player and executive Lance Blanks who passed away on Wednesday, May 3 in Dallas, Texas.
For the last 15 years he has worked with us to grow NBA Africa and launch the BAL. Among many other roes Lance led the on air commentary team during the historic inaugural season in 2021 and spent many years coaching and mentoring at Basketball Without Borders in Africa.
A devoted father to two daughters, a grandfather, a son, a colleague a friend and a brother. Lance, your legacy will live on in all of us.
Rest in Peace Lance Blanks. I greatly appreciated his kindness and dedication to the game, and the opportunity to learn from him. My deepest sympathies to his family, who he carried with him proudly in his travels. 💔🕊️
