You’re telling me a game made yesterday with 3x the budget has marginally better face scans than one made 6 years ago? No way dude

And both have Quest Achievements 🏆!
VR isn’t always all about the future – this time dive deep into the past with the @MDNewSettlement + @NeolithicVRGame Bundle! Build and grow your own medieval settlement, then travel 12,000 years into the past to hunt, craft, tame animals, and survive the end of the Ice Age #MetaQuest meta.com/experiences/medieva…

It’s very obviously a hollowed out shell equipped with only the things needed to perform that stunt and not an actual real functioning car….

They’re not even doing that 🤦‍♂️ they’re showing a marketing stunt with a fake hollowed out version of the car, equipped with all the stuff to perform that stunt and the rest stripped down to nothing but the shell. It’s never gonna actually have those capabilities.

It’s entirely possible! Dear user, if this is about the new avatars losing tattoos and beard options, just let me know and I WILL put them back into the game! 🙏😭 anything to get you updated!

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know where you are. But I know you are the last user left playing the SideQuest pre-alpha from five years ago. 👀 If this is you, PLEASE let me give you a key so you can update the game. No questions asked. 🙏

Thank you! 🙏 That means a lot, it was not easy getting the game to run on Quest at all 😂 we even support Quest 2, although I can’t recommend that version as the render distance is terribly low

Did you play Neolithic Dawn on launch and feel like something was missing? 🤔 We just spent the last 6 months on Hearthfire, a massive new update that adds base building alongside a ton of improvements and bug fixes. Never been a better time to jump back in! 🙌 #quest3 #vr

I mean not that smart. According to this his burn rate is $30,000 per month before any labor costs. Literally impossible to break even on a game like this…. The price you’d have to sell it for would not sell any copies. Ambitious idea but dead in the water.

Probably trying to compete with the upcoming Neuromancer series on Apple TV+

Even at the same price it wouldn’t be enough. Meta has star power, riding the wave of Oculus and advertising like Apple. Meta is VHS, SteamVR is Betamax.

WEEKEND PROJECT 🥽 what if you could play Valve’s Half-Life: Alyx on the Apple Vision Pro? without a pc, without streaming, running natively on the headset itself?

Considering it’s 2026, modern computers have thousands of cores, and 90% of software is still written in serial with terrible performance instead of multithreaded, doubt.

Not exactly. A regular person with a $20 GPT sub being able to reverse engineer any piece of software on the Internet is kind of a world ending event. The companies that made the games already had their OWN source code, but now nothing they make can be sold ever again.
