Good reason to vote for D. C. Republicans: If the win the House majority, DCGOP elected officials will be more effective at protecting DC autonomy from harmful interference with our local government. See dcist.com/story/22/11/02/dc-…
More bad news RE the fate of D. C. prisoners in WAPO - see washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/… Thanks to Theresa Vargas for keeping this issue Top of Mind!
Del. Norton is requesting DC felons be assigned to Bur. of Prisons facility near D. C. Why can't she just admit that we need our own prison here? It's a statehood function. See my blog post on a prison for D. C. @ rimensnyder4congress.com

Delegate Norton asserts that the Republican Party is the main obstacle to statehood for D. C. Not so - It is the Constitution! At least 10 A.G.s of both parties have concluded that statehood requires amending the U. S. Constitution. See my blog post at rimensnyder4congress.com

Who submitted the first D. C. Statehood bill? Del. Norton insisted for years that Republicans opposed D. C. statehood. However, she now admits that the first statehood bill was actually introduced by a Republican. See her press release and my blog at rimensnyder4congress.com

DC tax-paying residents must send a unified message to Congress, the media and the people of the 50 states that we are sick and tired of being taxed without our consent. A vote for me will begin to send that message. See my blog post on No Vote No Tax at rimensnyder4congress.com

Del. Norton's Threat To Historic Preservation Del. Norton receives a lot of campaign money from developers - we can draw our own conclusions regarding her support for historic preservation when their interests are involved. See my blog @ rimensnyder4congress.com

Wife and I got boostered today at D. C. Health Dept. Covad center 507 8th St. SE. We were a little sad there was no line at all -- this is a wonderful service that the city is providing, and it is free. The more people take advantage, the more we are protected. C'mon folks!

I will keep saying it til I am blue in the face: We don't have to have statehood; what we have to have is voting representation in Congress as if we were a state! -- a vote in the House and a delegate voice in the Senate are achievable and practical goals. Statehood is not.
My history of the federal payment is available from New Columbia Archives. Contact me at [email protected].
Relying on developers' money and new tax dollars from their developments is a slippery slope to losing what brings people to D. C. in the first place. If money is needed to finance statehood functions, we should look again at a fair federal payment to offset tax exempt property.
More proof that devlopers' money rules when it comes to D. C. planning. Mayor Bowser’s Office of Planning (OP) gets an ‘F’ grade on the former Marriott Wardman Hotel because of its total failure to meet its ‘planning’ obligation to the community in Woodley Park.

See Wardman Hotel Strategy Team ORGANIZING FOR EQUITABLE HOUSING Contact: Gail Sonnemann, [email protected], 202-286-0845 The grassroots Wardman Hotel Strategy Team (WHST) gives OP a failing grade because it refuses to use its own planning tool, Large Tract Review (LTR)

to analyze the risks of this very large demolition and construction project. OP’s choice to forego LTR would allow the Wardman to be replaced by 900 market rate apartments, only 72 of them affordable, prior to completing its own OP Woodley Park planning with the community.

Del. Norton, please answer -- Why are all the mail boxes disappearing from corners on Capitol Hill? Now instead of walking to the corner, we have to drive and double-park on Penna. Ave. to put an envelope in the mail.

Neighbors on Capitol Hill are providing respite care for migrants -- please volunteer help with meals, groceries, staffing. Contact Jessica Cisneros for list of opportunities and sites - [email protected]. You can make a difference in these lives! The need is so great!

Am I crazy? I kinda miss the crowds walking down E. Capitol St. for Sunday football games. Can't say I miss Snyder, though -- Jack Kent Cooke was a saint compared to him. And nature and rec facilities along the River are better than paved parking lots!
