It is with heavy hearts, that after a 2/12 year battle with Bulbar Onset MND Neil Parry took his final breath at 10.15pm on 4th November 2025.
After being diagnosed with this awful condition in 2023, dad was determined to fight and live as normal as possible despite there being
One thing is for sure…whilst the last 2 1/2 years have been consumed by this illness, dad spent 60 long years living life to the full and doing it ‘His Way’
(which is the last thing he chose to have in his peg)
Whilst some face the battle of MND alone - we have been very lucky to have the support of each other and our hearts go out to anyone else going through this.
He was adamant he did not want any medication or pain relief or a PEG which he had fitted just last week. He fought until the very last breath, with us surrounding him - followed by us celebrating his life with a pint of Guinness

the right support. Dad was finally transferred to Papworth until August 2025 before returning home with the support of a NIV that he eventually became dependant on.
Dad was determined to communicate despite losing his voice. Using his phone to start, then moving on to
mum the head of the family Iris Parry.
The last 15 weeks, we have been battling the final stages with the support of 24 hour carers and nurses. Starting with extremely complicated hospital admissions, through the lack of knowledge of MND at Kings Lynn Hospital and fighting for

no cure. Watching him battle each stage of this cruel disease has been heartbreaking. From losing his voice, the ability to eat, to swallow, to move his arms, his hands, his bowels and eventually his lungs.
Dad continued to live his life as normal as possible and worked until
Bozo in goal, defence a disaster we must rei-inforce in January. Maresca lost the plot with subs,,we made a poor Man U side look good and let our travelling army down @ChelseaFC
Maresca has been let down by @ChelseaFC he wanted cover for Colwill and now defensively the
Cracks are beginning to show, this could be fatal.
We should be top of the @premierleague Maresca got the team selection completely wrong and @ChelseaFC failed to be coached on Brentford’s long throw, Cucurella should have been marking the goalscorer, three defenders and James holding the box.
Raheem Sterling the new Winston Bogarde @ChelseaFC
Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool have identified problems in there squad and acted on deadline day. The harsh fact is @ChelseaFC have not
We are a Pedro injury away from not competing @ChelseaFC have 2.hours to.buy a striker
We broke financial rules with UEFA and are now paying the price of incompetence @ChelseaFC It cost us Simons and Lopez, Jackson should have left on a permanent deal, Guiu has been recalled to lead the L line when he cannot get in Sunderland’s team. A car crash end to Transfers.
We toyed with Xavi Simons for 5 weeks without pulling the trigger and are now spinning plates @ChelseaFC with 4 days of the window left, utter madness. Lopez, Rogers, Wharton, Main99, we have shot ourselves in the foot.
Xavi Simons OFF - Patty is rarely wrong @ChelseaFC moved quickly after Nkunku refused to return to RB Leipzig. @David_Ornstein 1 @FabrizioRomano 0
Fermin Lopez can leave Barcelona and join chelsea. This will happen only when chelsea bid what barca asks. Fermin has received great pitch from chelsea to join. #cfc
Xavi Simons deal hinges on Nkunku returning to RB Leipzig @ChelseaFC risk only signing Garnacho before the window closes in 6 days time. This will be a massive kick in the teeth for blues fans but I can’t see Christopher signing for them.
