No, I don’t. She was an exemplary anchor & for all those years I never ever could have guessed her politics. She’s now a free agent to express her opinions.

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

If Burnham is raising Brexit to get votes, it makes sense, but I agree with everything @edballs says here, if it’s a serious enterprise it is likely to backfire badly. Hard to see any form of closer relationship which won’t involve enormous financial contributions or some form of freedom of movement

Andy Burnham has to agree to the UK getting more expensive cars from China?
This is a breakthrough for Andy Burnham (apparently).
NEW: France has dropped its opposition to the UK being included in the EU’s “Made in Europe” legislation as long as the British government aligns with the bloc’s position over tariffs on Chinese EVs.
In a breakthrough for Andy Burnham, Paris on Thursday came round to backing Germany, which has always supported the UK’s calls to be designated European for the purposes of the Industrial Accelerator Act.
The legislation, which is in its draft stage, is designed to protect domestic manufacturing from cheap Chinese competition.
According to a joint Franco-German paper seen by the Guardian, the two countries are now proposing that for the car industry specifically the UK could be included in the "Made in Europe" scheme. @lisaocarroll reports

I am sure they would.
We were net contributors; there are not too many of them in the EU.
Very interesting to see on SKY news the opinions of EU senior members who welcome us back to the EU if we can rejoin. I do hope our new PM progresses this . The quicker the better for SME's #JOINEU
Ed Balls is right.
Most remainer no longer want free movement as it was in 2016.
It will not be a good idea to say we will start sending money to the EU when we have none.

I assume @andyburnham is telling President Zelensky that national security “can’t come at the expense of social security”.

Zack’s aunt and cousins live in Israel.
He can’t say Israel has a right to exist because he knows it will blow up his usefulness as a useful idiot.
Agreed.
Who would sign a trade agreement with the if it could be undermined by the EU?
We now look set to have another decade of "brexit".
Britain should not be permitted to rejoin the EU and risk decades of “psychodrama” because of its membership, Michael O’Leary, the boss of Ryanair, has said.
Any steps towards allowing the UK to return to the bloc would result in years of uncertainty and widen existing rifts, the Irish executive said🔗

This is just sticking plaster blather
Sounds like the Israeli made you admit you can't have consular facilities in a non-existent country.
That is why you had to change the name.
It also seems as though diplomats saved your arse.

Three years on, and @zeteo_news have identified the real villains of October 7th - Israelis…. When will this wickedness end?
It would be nice if Western media gave a damn about the Israelis killed *by Israel* on October 7th. They may not - but we here at Zeteo do. Watch @mehdirhasan take you through that day, explaining the secretive 'Hannibal Directive' and how it was deployed by the Israeli military
