They pledge to and sometimes build new hospitals but forget to tell you that they’ve reduced bed capacity. Our lovely little community hospitals have closed and in the result loosing wards full of beds. Privatising elderly care has compounded this issue too!

I think you will find this was pretty much agreed under the Tory government, all this talk of sovereign land and being ‘ours’ is a bit odd these islands are in the middle of the Indian Ocean and we evicted all the occupants, not really ours were they?

Mark Francois is an MP for the Conservative Party, who initiated this deal.
Why didn’t he ask James Cleverly in 2022, when he introduced this initiative?

Why are some people more interested in Keir's donated suit ( declared properly)
and are not interested in Jenrick being given
£75 000 from a company that is based on a tax-haven island and has no employees.
I find that quite odd.

Starmer was down as £107,000 in "freebies" in 5 years while Jeremy Corbyn, Boris Johnson and many others didn't even feature
Corbyn = £741, 700 in "freebies"
Johnson = £6.4m
How much do we pay for you to spout out your crap

The tragedy, and absurdity, of this is the fact that PAs are already well established in clinical practice and providing a safe and effective contribution to the MDT delivery of healthcare.
What next? An aggressive SoMe campaign against ANPs, ACCPs, PHE paramedics🤔

I am immensely proud that the NHS I work in is one of the most multi-ethnic and diverse organisations in the world.
NHS colleagues and emergency workers from many countries and faiths work around the clock to serve every UK community. You have my utmost appreciation and respect.

It's puzzling that people blame "the NHS" for the state it's in. It's not a religion, simply a mechanism for paying for universal care (tax funded, free at the point of need, largely publicly provided). The main reasons it can't cope with demand, in no particular order are...
1. Alarming levels of child poverty, health inequality and unhealthy ageing.
2. Pointless, costly and harmful political redisorganisations and outsourcings.
3. Reluctance of politicians to pay for and secure safe staffing levels and infrastructure
4. Insufficient focus on prevention, primary care, social care and education
5. Inability of those in authority to tell the truth, particularly when things go wrong
6. Lack of accountability for those who cover up the truth, suppress whistleblowers and kick obvious scandals into the long grass.
7. Treating the staff so poorly that want to leave, or do leave, to seek a less stressful, better paid job.
This has got nothing to do with the NHS as a funding system, but the political and voter choices that have allowed it to be underfunded - and hence unsafe - for so long. It's rare in life you get "more for less". In healthcare, we usually get "less for less". We are currently not providing prompt universal healthcare but rationing it so severely that people are suffering and dying for want of health, dental and social care. Myriad public inquiries have recommended rebuilding the NHS around safety and quality, but until we address these issues we are just pissing in the wind...
This doesn't sound much like comedy, but I will try to add a few gags in before the Edinburgh fringe...

1) You have to pay for something you have already paid
2) The new service will not bring in more medical staff it will take them from #NHS
3) Loosing the ambulance drivers to the ‘new’ service will make NHS respond time even longer
4) More people will be forced to turn private

Survival and safety after neoadjuvant chemotherapy or upfront surgery for locally advanced colon cancer: meta-analysis
➡️ doi.org/10.1093/bjs/znae021
This systematic review and meta-analysis of seven studies involving 2120 patients with locally advanced colon cancer found that neoadjuvant chemotherapy is associated with a reduced hazard of recurrence and death, as well as improved 5-year overall survival and disease-free survival rates, compared with upfront surgery. No significant differences in perioperative complications or mortality were found, but neoadjuvant chemotherapy decreased the risk of incomplete resection.
In conclusion, neoadjuvant chemotherapy appears to offer oncological benefits in the treatment of locally advanced colon cancer.
