Thank you, @EmmanuelMacron. We continue to fight on the battlefield and defend our people, our cities, our culture, and everything we believe in. Even under constant Russian attacks, Ukrainian science and education continue to live, work, and shape our future. We know what we are fighting for: our freedom, our children, and our future. We are grateful to France and the French people for standing with Ukraine.

More than a hundred drones have been launched today, just since this morning. As of 6 p.m., 29 of them were jet-powered, and 18 of those were shot down. Most of the regular “shaheds” were also downed. We are preparing new talks, including on air defense and further support for Ukraine, that will take place this week. I want to thank all our partners who are truly delivering on our agreements and supplying air defense interceptors. Just recently, a package of missiles for NASAMS arrived in Ukraine – thank you. We are talking with all our partners to make sure we have the necessary missiles for Patriots as well.

Babyn Yar. 85 years since the tragedy. One of the largest Nazi mass-murder sites in Europe. A place of profound pain and of our remembrance of all victims of the Holocaust. On September 29–30, 1941 alone, nearly 34,000 Jews were murdered here. At Babyn Yar, the Nazis also killed Roma, Ukrainian nationalists, members of the underground resistance, prisoners of war and patients of a psychiatric hospital. In total, an estimated 100,000 innocent people were killed here during the occupation. This tragedy reminds us how important it is to stand up to evil and to regimes that place no value on human life. It reminds us why we must never turn a blind eye to terror and atrocities, and why we must always support the true defenders of life. Today, I honored the memory of those killed in the Nazi mass shootings. Eternal memory to all the innocent victims.
