Behold, the worst deck I own. A deck I lovingly refer to as "The Slop Pile". A fully functional Universes Beyond commander deck, organized as all MTG decks should be - by franchise of source material.
This is Magic the Gathering as Richard Garfield intended.
Here's another widely asked-for feature up on SimOrg! Give it a try if you're a big Custom Card fan!
Ya know, the Yugioh format is getting kind of stale already. Everything kinda feels the same, even after such a large banlist. What might help is a new archetype... maybe one that has a super-intelligent leaping gorilla with tesla cannon.
Something that became clear to me after many rounds of feedback on the deck builder is that there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
Hopefully this fills in the gaps!

Food for thought on the limit of Droll & Lock Bird:
Handtraps that were first limited prior to being forbidden, or never became forbidden at all:
vs
Handtraps that went directly to forbidden status:
One of the reasons we were avoiding pre-release cards SimOrg is that we cannot use the official preview artwork for those. So we came up with something fun to get them in while still being distinguishable.
If anyone wants to find out why Glads are so heavily pointed for Tamer Editor in #YGOGenesys, this is probably a good way to find out.
Duelists attending #NYCC2026, ready for a challenge? Take on WCS competitor, Michael Kohanim, at Duel the Master at KONAMI Booth #2219! Bring your Advanced or Genesys Deck to Duel and earn a Demo Coin for a prize! #YuGiOhTCG

@KohanimTCG I am begging you to start sandbagging so I can play Glads in Genesys, thanks
This has been a pretty big effort on my part lately, so if you're a big mobile duelist I would love if you would give it shot.
Also in general, I am super appreciative of everyone who has been giving SimOrg a shot this week. It's been super exciting and energizing to me.
I have been thinking a lot about Shifter in #YGOGenesys since @PeepsYGO's stream today.
Keeping it playable feels as though the design team is so consistent in their philosophy that they ignore the human feeling of despair that comes from being across the table from it.
Regular Slop Pile Update!
Made a few recent swaps to add an additional 6 franchises to the mix! This brings us up to 37 unique franchises across the deck.
I have another 7 changes queued up for the near future too. Excited to one day get this up to 100 unique franchises.
There's actually a lot more updates packed in here since the last one, but themes are fun and flashy!
After a pretty significant effort, we were able to get SimOrg out earlier than anticipated. I put in quite a bit of work to get the overall design and experience into a good place and I really do love how it came out.
Check it out if you're interested!
SimOrg has been so fun to work on and I love how everything has turned out so far. I feel like I had a really strong vision for how I wanted everything to look and was able to make it happen.
I think I've got SimOrg to the point where it has some personality now.

I am going to be working on the UI/UX refresh for the Sim to give it some sauce. I did not make the current UI it has but I will be working on it going forward.
I have a lot of ideas and options already, but if you have any feedback on how things look, work, or feel, let me know

This is so awesome for The Slop Pile. The treatment on this is just so perfect for the deck. It's gonna be hard to pick what cards I want to pull in from the Star Trek franchise.
Replying to @wizards_magic @StarTrek
Why would you ask a 300-year-old frozen man for help?
Because he is better. At what? Everything.
