Alex seems to have made a mistake and posted his court mandated apology in the middle of the night, so I thought I'd help him out with a repost this morning.
I'm sure he wants the most people to see it as possible.
On 19 July 2024, I published two posts on my X account in which I made allegations about Mr Mothin Ali being involved in the Harehills riots. I have accepted these were incorrect and I have jointly made a statement in open Court in order to apologise to Mr Ali and correct the record which is below.

That’s demonstrably false. Channel 4 went undercover inside New Labour in 2005 and Momentum in 2016. BBC Panorama investigated Labour antisemitism in 2019. Other parties have been scrutinised. Your conspiracy theory falls apart immediately.
But here’s what you’re desperately avoiding.
ITV filmed Reform councillors and candidates calling Asian residents “parasites”, black children “animals”, advocating forced deportations and making vile sexual comments about women.
These weren’t rumours. They said these things themselves. On camera.
And instead of simply condemning them, your immediate response is “what about Labour and the Greens?”
If Labour or Green representatives were caught saying the same things, I’d condemn them. It’s really not difficult.
The cameras didn’t make Reform representatives say those things. They just exposed them.
The fact you’re more outraged by the investigation than what it uncovered says an awful lot about your priorities.
6% of the UK population are Muslim, and 4% of UK MPs are Muslim.
Stop all this bullshit that they are somehow taking over and controlling the country.
It's all just far right propaganda.
I'd rather see a decent Muslim with honest values who serves their community as an MP, than the utter scumbag, criminal, wife beating grifters who represent the far right.

With the heroes of the @RNLI under attack again, I’m reminded of this passage from Bill Bryson.

ALT I had never really stopped to consider what an extraordinary thing the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is. Think about it. A troubled ship calls for help, and eight people - teachers, plumbers, the guy who runs the pub - drop everything and put to sea, whatever the weather, asking no questions, imperilling their own lives, to try to help strangers. Is there anything more brave and noble than that? The RNLI - I looked this up later - is an organization run by volunteers, supported entirely by public donations. It maintains 233 stations around the coast of Britain and averages twenty-two call-outs per day. It saves 350 lives a year on average.

In July 2021, @RNLI donations spiked after Nigel Farage accused the RNLI of running a "taxi service for illegal trafficking gangs" over its Channel rescue work.
The charity's CEO Mark Dowie and fundraising director Jayne George publicly defended the crews, and in the 24 hours that followed, donations jumped roughly 2,000–3,000% to over £200,000, against a typical daily average of around £6,000–£7,000.
Volunteering inquiries also nearly quadrupled in the same period.
Normal people, who haven't been radicalised, understand that it's wrong to let people drown.
It's utterly grotesque that anyone should denounce this amazing British organisation and their brave volunteers who risk their lives to save others, regardless of their politics, ethnicity, religion, age, or nationality. 🙏

Our charity exists to save lives at sea. Our mission is to save every one. Our lifesavers are compelled to help those in need without judgement of how they came to be in the water. They have done so since the RNLI was founded in 1824 and this will always be our ethos.

This was a car-crash interview with Nadine Dorries, but she always defended the indefensible. That’s why the Tories used to wheel her out whenever Boris Johnson broke the law.

Amazing level of BS is behind the estimate of 250,000 white girls victimized by "Muslim rape gangs."
What they did was:
1) Come up with a number for Telford, Oxford, and Rotherham, the center of the scandal
2) Extrapolate to the rest of the country
Imagine if, to calculate murders in America, you looked at Detroit, Chicago, and Baltimore and then assumed all of America has the same murder rate.
But wait, there's more!
Even the original numbers are nonsense.
To get the original estimate for Oxford, they included all supposed victims of sexual exploitation or grooming, by Muslims or anyone else. This means that they assumed 100% of victims were white girls and 100% of the perpetrators were Muslims for all cases of sexual exploitation!
The report also switches between saying there were 250,000 victims, and 250,000 instances of victimization, without any explanation why.
For Telford, they went back 40 years, though I don't think that there were Muslim rape gangs in the 1980s. The Oxford number includes all instances of "grooming," whether or not they involved sexual contact at all, and not much is shared about the methodology. It is a complete guess.
I often hear rightists say "the liberals lie so I don't believe anything." What conclusion are we supposed to draw from the fact that rightists are this indifferent to facts?
“We will NEVER forget his name!!!”
“Is it Harry or Henry?”
“Is it Novak or Nowak?”
“Fuck knows - we don’t really care let’s just type and keep stirring the shit-pot.”
@IsabelOakeshott self-identifies as a ‘journalist’ and is easily as thick and disrespectful as Dickie.
