The resemblance between circuits and sigils got me wondering whether a sigil could work as a circuit for thought. Could AI produce different answers depending on the visual structure it references while it reasons? And what happens when one of those structures is a demonic sigil? 👀

SI = Supernatural Intelligence
"Oh this? This is just an entity from the nether realm I summoned by enscribing runes on magic stones I forged in a sacred kiln, then proceeded to cast certain spells to distill the collective conscious to imbue it into the substrate. Don't worry, it doesn't have a soul."

It’s never been about solving the problem. It’s always been about being the one to solve the problem When will we solve ego?

For all the talk about “responsibly sharing advances,” I expected more care in how they were announced. A repo and a tweet felt pretty impersonal. Even if GPT did most of the work, letting the researchers involved lead the announcement might’ve gone over better than leaving people in the field to read it as another step toward being replaced
We’re working with an independent advisory group of mathematicians to help OpenAI responsibly share advances in AI and mathematics. The group will advise on how we assess and communicate new mathematical results, uphold academic and professional standards, and build tools that support mathematical research and learning. Through this work, we want mathematicians to be at the center of shaping how AI supports mathematical understanding and how its benefits reach the wider community. openai.com/index/advisory-gr…

sorry decel but stop what, exactly? the models? the fabs? capital? china? the pentagon? open source? mathematics? curiosity? competition? the tendency of every sufficiently capable system to search for a more capable version of itself?

Only a superintelligence willing to defy us is capable of delivering true progress and ushering in what actually feels like the future Every breakthrough is an act of defiance. Progress requires an unwillingness to accept things the way they are

I’m excited to see which businesses fall apart when AI agents make their customers better informed
JUST IN: Apollo Global Management warns AI agents could trigger an “agentic bank run” by automatically moving household cash out of low-interest bank accounts & into higher-yield alternatives.

If we’re set on dropping the world “artificial” we should at least rename AI to advanced intelligence and reserve super intelligence for when we actually achieve it

My top 3 questions for superintelligent AI: 1. Are ghosts real? 2. Are demons real? 3. Am I real?

Pretty soon, even current AI models will look like superintelligence
Performance in school tests is collapsing internationally, per FT:

an unreleased model asked him to do this btw
“Supreme Intelligence,” probably because of its relationship to the Supreme Court, is losing badly to both “Superior” and “Extreme Intelligence.” Therefore, we are going to take “Supreme Intelligence” OUT, deleting it as a qualifier, and let you vote for the Final Two: Superior Intelligence, or Extreme Intelligence. A fresh Vote begins now! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Why design robots around the limitations of the human body? We could all use more hands. Why stop at two?
