Everyday I look at Howard in my office and wonder where the entertainment industry would be without him, John Ford, Frank Capra, William Wyler, John Huston, and a select group of others. The legendary pioneers of cinema…

Mulholland Drive came out, gulp, 25 years ago today. Last year I talked to Naomi Watts about it for a package we did about the best acting performances of the 21st century so far. theringer.com/2025/08/25/mov…

Fort Hood shooting survivor Alonzo Lunsford says he wants to witness the execution of the man who tried to kill him, Nidal Malik Hasan, who is expected to be executed by firing squad.
Lunsford wants to face the terrorist who tried to take his life and deliver one final message: “I am not your victim anymore. I’m a survivor.”
A staff sergeant at the time of the 2009 Fort Hood mass shooting, Lunsford was shot seven times. He survived, but the attack left him blind in one eye, without half his intestines, and suffering from lasting nerve damage.
After everything he has endured, he refuses to let the man who tried to kill him define his life. He is no longer just a victim. He is a survivor.

The biggest jagoff in Chicago sports media never misses an opportunity to demonstrate why he's also one of the biggest pieces of shit walking the earth. Thankfully nearly every reply is rightfully calling him out for his continued hatred and lack of any semblance of class.

Pvt. Francheska Velez, 21, of Chicago, was one of the victims Nidal Hasan murdered at Fort Hood. She was three months pregnant. Her last words were “My baby! My baby!” as the bullets flew.
So yes. I cannot wait to watch that POS get executed on a livestream.

This judge released a 16 year old foreigner who raped a girl in Australia because the guy is from Butan and has
“limited insight into societal norms.” of Australia.
He said the teen used "considerable force" while raping the girl but still suspended his sentence.
If they come from a country that doesn't know rape is bad why are they even allowed in?
This judge needs to be put behind bars too

This is Sam.
Sam was arrested for viciously beating his wife, Marcia.
Sam promised Marcia he would to return to murder her once he got out.
The St. Louis Bail Project paid his bail.
Sam beat Marcia to death 45 minutes later.

Ditka was everyone’s toughest gym teacher — Mr. kreutzer in Glencoe Il for me — raised to the highest power. gq.com/story/mike-ditka-rich… @GQMagazine
Legend, had a classic meal with him and some others a few years back. He was everything that makes America great (and imperfect). He makes a lot of soft people angry and sad too because he was a man, born as a man behaved as a man. Ditka is forever Chicago!!!!!!! DHA BEARSSSS!!

It’s election time, which means it’s time to decide whether to vote to retain — or not retain — another class of Cook County judges.
Here’s what you should know about the judges up for retention who have appeared in CWB Chicago coverage.
