To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad: Do not blame the French people for this. We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no. Here are the numbers your media won't show you. 70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today. 79% want a tougher immigration policy. 77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration. 83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home. And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years. This is not a fringe. This is the French people. In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again. That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway. So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations. In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders. It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed. What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it. The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did. So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this." The French never chose this. They were forced into it. If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us. If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.

I'm South African. I also want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. To warn you. I come from even further into the future. South Africa used to be a first-world country. We had the best infrastructure and hospitals in the world, and we were developing our own nuclear capability. Today, there is literally shit running in the streets; people in our capital, Johannesburg, haven't had running water for months and more than 40 000 rape cases are reported every year. For most South Africans, there is no such thing as healthcare. You go and stand in a queue for days, then go home. This is what happens when you hand your country to economically illiterate progressive fools with catchy slogans. Don't do it.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.

My post about France went viral. Thousands of likes. Many Americans told me: "Democrats aren't socialists. America will never be France." I want to answer that seriously, step by step. Start with a simple observation. Look at what has gotten cheaper in America over the last 25 years: TVs, phones, software, clothes, toys. Now look at what has exploded: college tuition, healthcare, childcare, housing. What separates the two lists? The first lives in competitive markets. The second is exactly where government is most involved: subsidies, mandates, licensing, zoning, regulation. College. Washington lends students almost unlimited money. Universities know the money will always come, so they raise tuition and hire more administrators. The student pays the bill for twenty years. More government money, higher prices. Housing. Why can't a nurse buy a home in the city where she works? Not because of capitalism. Because of zoning laws, permits, environmental reviews, years of procedure to build a single building. The most expensive places to live in America are the places where it's hardest to build. When building is nearly illegal, prices explode. Healthcare. The patient almost never sees the price. A third party pays, regulations limit who can compete, and costs climb year after year with no one able to say no. So here is the trap. The problems you suffer from are not the failure of free markets. They are the places where the market has already been replaced by the state. And the solution you're being offered is more of the same. That's the Trojan horse. It always works the same way. A real problem. A generous-sounding promise. A program that makes things worse. Then the failure of that program becomes the argument for the next one. People who lived under communism in Poland learned to recognize the lie and the mask the lie wears. The lie never presents itself as a lie. It presents itself as compassion. In France we are at the end of that road. Debt we can never repay. Young people who can't afford a home. Our best people leaving. And every few years our cities burn. Nobody voted for this. They voted for one more generous promise, fifty years in a row. If you're a Republican, share this with the Democrat in your life. Not to win an argument. To start a conversation. If you're a Democrat, I'm not asking you to switch teams. I'm asking you to look at the pattern. Wherever the state took over, life became unaffordable. Don't fix the failures of government with more government. Stay American. Ask for less state, not more.

On a ri.

Attention Young Women: I am surrounded by 20ish-year-old guys who want to date and get married. They are smart, capable, hard working and cute. They're hesitant to ask girls out or don't know where to find the good ones. If you are one of the good ones, here's what you need to do. Step 1: Change your expectations about how you'll meet. You might've built a story up in your head about the first look that resembles a plot line from Gilmore Girls. It won't happen like that, and your insistence that it be instantly Instagrammable is knocking a lot of good guys out of the dating pool. Step 2: Get fit. You don't need to be a size 4, but this generation of young men is serious about stewarding their bodies and they want a woman who cares for hers. Step 3: Grow your hair out (and don't dye it blue). It may sound superficial to you, but these young men want a girl who is feminine, and long locks are an indicator that you are. Step 4: Go clean your list. You are probably too selective about who you say yes to because you evaluate a coffee offer with the seriousness of a marriage proposal. So you say "no" when he asks for your number if he's an inch too short or three years too old, or does not yet make six figures, or wants to have a farm someday or doesn't want to have a farm someday. Ditch your list. As long as he does not creep you out, if he has the guts to ask you on a date, say yes. Step 5: Sign up for any event where you know like-minded guys will be. The local Young Republicans mixer, a hiking group, a lively singles youth night at church. If you're not seeing these guys, it's because you're not situating yourself where these guys are. Change your routine. Step 6: Get a gym membership and dress modestly. That not only accomplishes step two, but it puts you in regular contact with a lot of guys who are working to better themselves. But don't set a thirst trap. Stand out by wearing workout gear that draws attention to your face, not your cleavage. Step 7: When the guy who you see every Wednesday and Friday, who has given you pointers on better form for your RDLs, asks for your number, unless you genuinely feel unsafe, give it to him. Step 8: When he calls you two days later and asks you out for coffee or dinner, say yes. Even if you don't "like" him. This matters for two reasons. 1. You are conditioning him to initiate, and that will benefit you if you date long-term, or benefit other women he asks out in the future because you conditioned him to associate the risk of asking with the reward of a "yes." Hopefully some other girl is building up your future husband's confidence by saying yes when he asks her on a coffee date. 2. You don't actually know who you like. 50% of women marry a guy where there was no initial spark. They did not know they liked him until they saw him for a few weeks or a few months. Step 9: IMPORTANT - learn to flirt. That doesn't mean licking your lips suggestively or wearing a miniskirt. It means singling him out for attention. A guy is much more likely to ask you on a date if you've signaled that you will say yes. You do that by making eye contact, smiling at him, and responding to any small "bids" for connection. Step 10: He may not get all the dating etiquette exactly right that first time. He may not show up with flowers or open the door for you. But whatever he does that is commendable, notice it and thank him for it. A woman's greatest power is not bossing and directing, it is responding to and encouraging masculine energy in the right direction through sweetness and precise validation. Don't knock a sincere guy out of the running because he didn't execute a date perfectly. On the first date, the third, the fifth, you are evaluating for worldview alignment and character. Not elaborate planning for your night out. 1/2
Attention Young Men: I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it. Step 1: Stop playing video games Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical) Step 4: Go clean your car Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class Step 6: Go to the yoga class Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends) Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night. Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion. Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper. Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite. Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2. Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you. My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.

If you change your mind at the store, don’t just leave stuff anywhere. Today I showed the boys how people will grab something, decide they don’t want it, then leave it on whatever shelf is closest. Somebody has to come behind you and fix that. And with things like meat, milk, or frozen food, leaving it out can ruin it completely. Put it back where it belongs. Respect the workers you may never meet. Doing the right thing usually isn’t hard. It just takes a little consideration.

At a 9/11 remembrance event night a man told the audience his brother's remains were not identified until April of 2002. Seven months. The room gasped. They heard neglect. I was sitting in the back of that room, and I knew what those 7 months actually were. Because my job took me to a garbage dump on Staten Island that I believe is one of the most sacred pieces of ground in America. For 10 months after the attacks, investigators in white personal protective equipment stood at conveyor belts on a hill called Fresh Kills and searched 1.5 million tons of the World Trade Center by hand, down to fragments a ¼ inch. An average of 30 human remains recovered every single day. Wedding bands. Police shields. Office ID cards. Names given back to families who had nothing else to bury. The wait was terrible. But the wait was the search. Almost nobody knows this story. I wrote down what I saw on that hill one day in my journal 25 years ago. Today I published that story. ↓
