FL’s wild heritage is captured in one image: the FL panther, white-tailed deer, American alligator, FL bass, & an anhinga. Each symbolizes the state’s diverse ecosystems, showcasing how conservation connects land, water, & wildlife.

Before the sun rises, they’re already hard at work.
Every detail matters.
Every blade of grass counts.
Golf thrives because of superintendents.

Classic El Niño winter pattern in Southwest Florida ahead. 3 cold fronts over the next 7 days. Greater rainfall potential with the fronts on Saturday and next Tuesday, but they also will be monitored for strong storms. Both American and European models painting a preliminary 1 - 2" locally through next Wednesday morning. I'll keep you posted if anything changes on @WINKNews.

As a supe I operate w/a foxhole mentality. Somewhere along the line I realized that is a wartime analogy and those foxholes are full of soldiers diverse in their own ways. BMP certification puts us all in the same foxhole; fighting the good fight together. Sept 15 @LBKCR @FGCSA

A reminder to help our feathered friends,
➡️Keep 300+ feet from wading, shore and seabird…groups? flocks? *Googles quickly* A group of seabirds are called WRECKS.
➡️Do not intentionally force birds to fly or run boats or personal watercrafts close to shore.
➡️Keep pets leashed when visiting the shore.
➡️Avoid bird colonies during the nesting season.
➡️Honor signs that designate areas as closed or sensitive for wildlife and encourage others to do the same.
➡️Always dispose of trash and food in designated containers to avoid attracting predators.

As Ben Hyduk, our Director of Golf Course Maintenance, traveled by hole #14 on our Sunrise Course, he came upon two chatty bobcats. We are unsure if this was a turf war, a mating ritual, or something else, but whatever is happening is pretty incredible to see! #wildlifeWednesday
