I submitted this #FOIA request several years ago for information on the time Dennis Banks had asylum @OnondagaNation. The Feds said there was nothing for me to see. Then, this morning, I found this in my mailbox. Never wanted to find a portable CDRom reader more than now.
Exciting to be teaching to first cohort of students in an important and highly relevant new program @Geneseo. More information coming soon…
Spent this morning with my dad and a good friend reading through two collections of Civil War recently donated to @SUNYGeneseo. Both collections were from Livingston County soldiers, one who served in the Wadsworth Guards and the other in the 1st NY Dragoons. A quality morning.
I’m getting a hard sell from the folks @CircleIn_App, which someone at my college thought was a good idea to adopt. Why should I even consider using something with such poorly-proofread material?

Found some pictures of my mom’s grandfathers. One was with the NYPD, and the other I know little about.
Not enough space here to respond w/ the nuance required, but the problem is not new, nor is it getting worse among faculty. Much of what she complains about is promoted by admins, who I think we can all agree are far too numerous, & are routinely ignored in the classroom.
About to start driving from California to New York tomorrow. I plan to make it back in time for the beginning of the semester.

Looking forward to seeing @cloudnothings in Buffalo tonight. I stumbled across them in Oxford in the summer of 2019 one bored evening while looking for something to do, and once more since. My favorite band this month. I will be the old dude in the back avoiding the pit.
I support students' right to protest, even when they do things with which I disagree or that make me uncomfortable. Nothing they do or say is as dangerous as militarized cops trampling upon freedom of speech. I am more afraid of tyranny than my students' words and deeds.
