'PRO-PEACE, HINDI PRO-CHINA' Binigyang-diin ni Dr. Ronald Adamat na dapat magpakita ng pamumuno ang bansa sa pamamagitan ng foreign diplomacy at iwasan ang padalos-dalos na pananalita kaugnay ng ugnayan nito sa ibang mga bansa. (1/3)

PADILLA PRAISES CHINESE ENVOY AMID CALLS FOR HIS EXPULSION LOOK: Sen. Robin Padilla praised Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan as courteous and direct after meeting him at the 2026 ASEAN Chinese Business Leaders Summit, advocating face-to-face dialogue amid strained Manila-Beijing ties. Jing faces calls for a persona non grata declaration over his remarks on a possible confrontation with the Philippines. Sen. Erwin Tulfo also filed a resolution urging the DFA to recommend the move, while the Chinese Embassy challenged lawmakers to act on their calls. | 📸: Padilla/ Facebook [1/2]

‘LET THE PRESIDENT HANDLE THIS SITUATION’ Naniniwala si 2nd District Caloocan City Rep. Marcos, Jr. “We should be friendly to all, but subservient to none. Defending our rights in the West Philippine Sea does not require hostility toward the Chinese people or the destruction of our economic relationship with China.”

Ang laki talaga ng galit nito sa mga Duterte, napigilan kasi ni FPRRD yung pagta travel niya at hindi siguro na kumpleto yung pag around the world.

You should ask SND Gibo Teodoro to take back his China "troublemaker" "biggest threat" rhetoric and apologize for wrongfully detaining Chinese workers and persecuting innocent Chinese language teachers.

ANO BA ’YAN, JV EJERCITO? ANG BILIS MONG KUMABIG! NASAAN ANG IQ AT POLITICAL BACKBONE MO? 🤣😂 Hoy, JV! Make up your mind! One moment, you're taking a confrontational position; the next, you're explaining that you're not anti-China, just against an allegedly “undiplomatic” ambassador. Kaloka ka, senador ka pa naman! A little Diplomacy 101, Senator! Ambassador Jing Quan is the official representative of the People's Republic of China and, by extension, President Xi Jinping, in the Philippines. He represents his government's positions and national interests, not your personal preferences or political convenience! You are perfectly entitled to disagree with him. But disagreement is not proof of diplomatic misconduct. What exactly did he say that violated diplomatic norms? Or is an ambassador suddenly “undiplomatic” simply because he refuses to echo Manila's preferred narrative? And please, JV, PANINDIGAN MO ANG POSISYON MO! Diplomacy requires political maturity, strategic judgment, and intellectual consistency—not rhetorical gymnastics and political grandstanding every time the political winds change! Then again, what can we expect from a Senate where political sound bites are sometimes louder than substantive arguments? Parliamentary performance seems to be replacing serious foreign-policy thinking! Mahilig sa blah blah without facts, consistency, and no analysis at all, results, NO SUBSTANCE! Take note, senador yan ng bansa ha… nakakaloka!! Goodness gracious! ANG DAMING POLITICAL THEATRICS, WALANG KULANG AY DIPLOMATIC INTELLIGENCE! EH WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE LIKES OF JV… ¡JUSMIO POR PABOR!! NAKAKALOKA! 🤣😂😆

PADILLA ON CHINESE ENVOY: ‘EDUKADO, GENTLEMAN, AT DIRETSONG KAUSAP’ LOOK: Senator Robin Padilla meets Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan at the 2026 ASEAN Chinese Business Leaders Summit. Padilla describes Jing as educated, a gentleman and straightforward. He also stresses the importance of face-to-face dialogue to prevent misunderstandings and tensions. “Mainam na maging personal at harapan ang pakikipag-usap sa kanya upang maiwasan ang hidwaan dulot ng mga palitan ng salita,” Padilla says.

To improve and develop China-Philippines relations serves the interest of both sides. We firmly oppose certain Philippine politicians maliciously lashing out at China and hurting bilateral ties. The Philippine side should rein in such irresponsible behavior.

Defense chief Gilberto Teodoro calls China "the biggest threat to the country." Senators want its ambassador sent home. Yet Filipinos buy rice on Lazada and Shopee, apps tied to Chinese capital. What happens to your online shopping if China hits back? Tomorrow's column has the answer.

DEAR Chinese Embassy Manila PERHAPS IT’S TIME TO RETURN THE FAVOR! Please consider including this dude on the list of Philippine officials unwelcome in Chinese territories, given his enthusiastic call for the expulsion of China’s Ambassador to the Philippines. After all, diplomatic reciprocity works both ways, doesn’t it? Right?? And seriously, Kiko, since when did name-calling, personal insults, and describing a foreign diplomat as a “hooligan” become the gold standard of Philippine diplomacy?? And you think by insulting the Chinese Ambassador you look good and patriotic?? Come on dude, Filipinos and international community are not stupid. You just lower yourself below the ground. Disagreeing with an ambassador is perfectly legitimate. But substituting insults for diplomatic arguments? That is hardly statesmanship. The Chinese side should not be expected to endlessly tolerate inflammatory rhetoric directed at its diplomatic representatives without considering an appropriate response. Respect is a two-way street. So is diplomacy. And so are diplomatic consequences. Be careful what you wish for, Kiko. You might just discover that China, too, has the sovereign right to decide who is welcome on its territory. Diplomatic reciprocity, dude. Look it up! 😉
